The Fisherman's Wife - Whitby - Photo album

Had another weekend away in Whitby, just as storm Babet hit and this was a warm welcoming place to eat our tea, away from the wind and rain The Fisherman's Wife restaurant overlooks the sea so had great views of the stormy sea! We ordered fish and chips with mushy peas and Yorkshire fish cakes with
The seafood here was super fresh. There are plenty of tables witha sea view but you better book in advance as this place is always full. The service was brilliant too.
If you want great sea food, this is the place to go to. Good portion sizes. Locally caught. Great value. For starter, I recommend the home made black olive bread with Mackrell pate and green olives on the side. Whatever you choose you won't be dissapointed.
I am visiting Whitby and we stopped by the Fisherman's Wife to experience new food and Restaurants. The Staff was very very friendly and informative. They was also very patient with us when looking at food to order. I haven't visited before but definitely will come back again. Thank you to all St
The food here is generous and excellent. We shared a portion of mussels to start, the sauce was wonderful, my wife followed with the prawn salad and I had the Queen Scallop linguine both fantastic. Throw in the sea views if you're in Whitby and enjoy seafood you have got to try the Fisherman's Wife.
The food and location are perfect! The specials board is regularly updated and I had a lovely salmon starter and traditional fish and chips. The mushy peas were particularly good and probably the best I’ve had!
Fabulous food again. It’s our go to fish restaurant in Whitby some great food and great views. Doesn’t arrive super quick, but was busy and worth the wait. Medium Haddock and Chips in the pic.
We had a fabulous experience at 'The Fisherman's Wife'. They catered for my wife's dietary requirements without any fuss and without any detriment to the quality of the food. They seated us at a big round table in a corner of the restaurant overlooking Whitby Harbour on a beautiful, Sunny, Spring da
This is Without Doubt one of Whitbys best Restaurants, Idyllic Views out onto the beach, watching the Sun slowly sinking, while you Dine,it was just Beautiful.... Locally caught Fish & Shellfish 🦐🦞🦀feature Heavily on the Menu, as well as other Traditional English Dishes, Steak pie 🥧 😋... There are B
Lovely three course meal on our holiday! We had the Oysters to begin with, Garlic Prawns and Whole Dressed Crab for starters, Lobster Thermidor and Fish Pie for mains, then the Lemon Tart for desert.
Great food and even tastier views overlooking the bay. The fisherman’s stew was brilliant and the fish all fresh and well seasoned! Welcome lunch break! 👍🏻🔥❤️🤪
Very good fish & chips (haddock) with a beautiful seaview. The service was pleasant and the dessert (hot fudge chocolate cake and ice cream) good and cheaper than in most other restaurants. Prices in general are fair.
Nice pint with a lovely view. Table service only, which is a little slow. Pricier than others, and the 5% service charge adds to this. Probably the reason you’re given a £2 off voucher for another round. Worth a visit never the less.
We visited today 28th of October. Me& my bf...I eat a fish pie 🥧- it's a dish to die for 👌👌👌👌👌👌and my bf had vegetarian lasagna- he was so exited about taste👍👍👍👍we definitely combac, but after kids school holidays...
Best restaurant in Whitby, the service, food and views are unmatched… me and my family had starters, mains and deserts and loved all of them… we all agreed that it was the best place we’ve been to including the Magpie ;) x
I think The Fisherman’s Wife lives up to all the great reviews, however I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star experience. I ordered an appetizer, and a main course. The Prawn Cocktail appetizer was… off-putting to say the least. The prawns were smothered in some sort of sauce that can only be described as a
We really looked forward to our visit and we were not in the slightest disappointed! The menu had so many delicious fish dishes, it was difficult to choose. Starters were generous and really tasty. Mains; my halibut from the specials board was cooked perfectly and utterly delicious! Sea bass and fis
Excellent restaurant with a view of the north sea. The prices are standard for the area but the portions are huge. Loved the muscles in butter sauce. Haddock fish n chips was great but slightly greasy as they cook it in beef dripping. U can ask for non beef dripping preparation
Very friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant. I ordered the steak pie which was a disappointment, but I guess I should have stuck to fish in a coastal town. Wife had the fish pie which was delicious and generous portion. There is also a take away on the side which has a nice view of the beach.
