great pub. very quiet sunday when we went,but barman was very friendly. nice selection of beers. didn't try food but may do next time.
Crackin little alehouse situated at the bottom of the 199 steps with great views at the back over the river. Well kept ales and very dog friendly.

We had a beautiful lunch in the pub this afternoon. The pub was busy but we were able to get a table. The best part was the view over the harbour. The food was served very quick and it was hot. Absolutely loved the food and there was only empty plates at the end. I would definitely recommend this an

Great pub to grab a bite to eat and a drink at the bottom of Whitby Abbey steps. Friendly helpful staff, good selection of drinks and great food. Good view of the harbour also if sat in the back of the pub. Pet friendly.
I went to Whitby on Monday for a Day out it was cold and windy. But I enjoyed my day out whilst I was at Whitby I went into The Board Inn.

Just back after a very enjoyable meal, I had lasagne & my husband had steak pie, both meals were very good & tasty. The bar staff were excellent & worked very hard. Only criticism is the fact they seem to stop serving meals by 7pm & turned a couple of people away, I'd have thought in today's climate

Dropped in for a drink on Good Friday, very busy but managed to get a table overlooking the harbour. Checked out the menu and decided on a sharing fish platter. Great decision the platter came laden with plenty of fishy delights including goujons, scampi, tiger prawns, crevettes and shrimp complete
Visited a lot of times over the years but was a bit apprehensive this time after seeing some bad reviews on trip adviser. We needn’t have worried. The beer was good friendly staff and the seafood linguine was superb, probably the best I have ever had. I’ve never seen so much seafood in a linguine. I
