A great place to watch the world go
Great little pub. Great views of the harbour and reasonably priced for the drinks. Just called in on the off chance around 12 noon when it opened and it quickly filled up as there was a football match on. Great friendly and welcoming staff and a great atmosphere. Will defo go back again.

Can’t fault a thing about our stay or the hospitality and service received. The Landlords Ali and David are an absolute credit to the place. Superb location and great breakfast too. Would not hesitate to stay again and we are already planning another trip
Wonderful little hotel above a pub-restaurant right on the harbor. BIG room with bay window. Service was superb - we even chatted with the boss. Our room was quite warm, but it was 80 degrees out and our huge window was catching all the afternoon sun. The windows opened a tiny bit but not much. But
Big pub with lots of space, sport and good Real Ale. We came in looking for the Rugby and the bar staff put it on for us in one of the rooms which was very nice, all of the staff were very friendly. There were two Real Ales on and both were very nice
Nice bar with very friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. Great atmosphere both inside and outside, was standing room only when we went but didn't bother us, highly recommended.

Me and my partner, who were staying in Whitby, just happened to call in here for a drink and was met by 2 lovely lads working on tne bar that night Owen and Elliot, they were friendly, attentive and chatty. Called back the next night and they remembered our drinks, that's what we like. Lovely place
Only in the bub, but staff are delightedly professional AND friendly. And I mean both bar staff and restaurants staff.
Knowing how stressful working with is customers can be... I can't stress enough how the three we met and provided service were great with us.
Added bonus - dog friendly! Excellent!
Spent a wonderful evening at The Dolphin on Wednesday.
Food was served by a lovely young lady called Akhai not sure if that's correct spelling.
Was made to feel very welcome in bar showing the West Ham final.
