Not a 5star, be prepared to hike a suitcase up lots of stairs unless you are lucky to be on the lower floor, we weren’t. Not worth the price we paid. Room was clean, small, outdated bathroom, breakfast and service was excellent, bar expensive. Hotel needs updating in areas for sure. Free parking if you can get a spot.

Ideal position, easy walking distance to town. Breakfast was very good, as was the service. Room was good, very clean and comfortable.

It was our first time to visit whitby And I must say From the moment we arrived, the staff could not do enough for us The room was lovely, spotless, bright, and had everything we needed, My partner wanted to do some fishing, so we were going to miss the evening meal, but they were more than happy to make sandwiches for us, cheese and biscuits, that we could pick up when we got in late, The two night porters we met where so helpful as well, all the staff were amazing, table service for breakfast was lovely, and the choices were really good, loved the fresh smooties each morning Just don't understand what this hotel does not have more stars We will be returning soon, Many thanks again to all the staff Who made our trip perfect

Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. Has a bar that is open till late. Good food, reasonably priced. Great breakfasts. 10 min walk to town centre but only 5 mins to the beach. Has its own car park across the road, important because restricted parking everywhere! Enjoyed our short break here. Defo recommended.

Lovely old building, no lift, lots of stairs if your room on top floor but worth it. Everywhere super clean, Lovely staff, great food. Very close to seashore. Could no fault it. Great.
