Perfect in every sense of the word. The service, atmosphere, decor, music, real wood fire, parking, location all bob on. The food was impeccable. Couldn't fault one thing. One of the best meals we've ever had and we've had a lot! Prawn cocktail starter with warm union bread and impeccable rib eye with home made chips and the best peppercorn sauce. What a fine establishment. The owners and staff should be very proud of themselves.
Popped in on way back from the coast with the 2 dogs, my wife & 1 sat outside, we both had the steak pie & chips with a pint to wash it down, good as ever. The 2 dogs had a venison sausage each. Highly recommend this pub.

I've been to the Beehive many times before, but this is my first visit fir Sunday lunch. I had the 12 hour slow cooked beef brisket and it was absolutely delicious, great Yorkshire pub too.. Staff are very friendly and polite. A definite must, but please book a table so you aren't disappointed.

Heard good things about the Beehive and it didn't disappoint! Having been for a walk to work up an appetite around the local, and lovely, Hollywell Dene, we arrived early as we had the nephew's with us and the staff were very attentive and accommodating. Food was excellent, cooked to a really good standard, the portion sizes were on the large size and didn't need to be quite so big because the quality was so good, I'd have happily paid the same for less! As you can see I struggled to even get the fish in the picture without the need for a wide angle lens! Will definitely be returning again and have added it to my armoury of top pubs to eat at in the North East
This place is super dog friendly and the service is excellent. They have a massive beer garden too. The food was nice, especially the chimmichurri chicken with cous cous (really light and felt almost like a salad), the steak pie is also lovely!
We recently visited, for the first time in many years with friends for an evening meal. Even though it was a Monday, it was really busy - an indication of its popularity. The seating space was good and had a good 'old world' feel. Service was good and food was served quickly and arrived fresh and hot. The food was well presented and generally good quality. The portion sizes were VERY adequate. I had tempora prawns for a starter, which was nice but I would have preferred a lighter batter that was cooked so much - but that is a personal preference. We spent about £45 per head, which I thought was a little expensive for what we got.
Fabulous food and fabulous friendly staff.... couldn't find a single fault.
Make sure your really hungry before you visit because the portions are very generous.
Recommended by a friend, we came here for a late lunch for my Mum's birthday.
We had the dog with us so were seated in the dog friendly room where they provide dog blankets and treats and their very own doggy menu.
We all chose a different main meal from the menu and each of them were absolutely delicious and great portion sizes. We then moved onto dessert, possibly the best brownie I've ever tasted!! and then great coffee to end it with.
Only reason I gave 4 stars for service was the main meal took a little longer to arrive than we would expect but it was so delicious and the staff were friendly.

Nice little pub for a Sunday dinner. Great food quality at a fair price, with friendly service. Lots of parking available as well. However, I do wish the food came out a bit quicker, especially after a decently long drive to get here — waited about 40 minutes. Worth the wait though so still 5 stars.
A friend had seen that there was a comedy night at the Beehive as it was somewhere we had never been thought we'd give it a go. We were so glad we did, this is a lovely little bistro bar down a country lane it's a quirky little place with lots of little room so this makes it cosy also 2 large gardens.
The staff are very friendly and efficient. Good beer although we never had food what was being served looked really tasty with big potions.
We will be returning soon this time for food.
