Loud and bustling with a cramped but homey atmosphere, food is excellent and the service was funny. Glad I overbooked my car in the parking outside as it took half an hour to waddle back after stuffing myself on the best authentic Italian cuisine in Whitley bay. The price may be steep but the quality is steeper I feel like I underpaid at the end for what I received.

This place is my all time favourite Italian I've ever been to. The quality of food, service and atmosphere is outstanding. I've been here 3 times and I always recommend it to my friends and family. I love the outside terrace area. They never rush you either. I've had the best carbonara and tiramisu I've ever had eating out here. I love that they don't offer a scroll of options like some places do. Definite quality over quantity. Thank you!

Second visit to Pranzo, great service and welcome from Molly and owner Pablo, must try and learn some more Italian. We were the last into the restaurant and the last to leave. We had pizzas 🍕 this visit, really nice, sweets were gorgeous. Lovely bottle of Sicilian wine complimented the evening, we will be back.

Feel like we were so lucky to have stumbled across this amazing place whilst staying in Whitley Bay! Couldn’t recommend it enough. I just wish I had been more hungry so I could have tried more of the menu! We had a pizza and the carbonara for mains. Both delicious and so fresh tasting. Loved the profiteroles for dessert with the chocolate dipping sauce. The equally best thing about this place though is the staff. The owner and his wife were so friendly and funny. Making a fuss of all the customers. Brilliant experience overall.

Just love this place! Had the best night at their wine tasting event. Great food, superb wines so well organised. It was a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this event and will be attending the next one. However just go to Pranzo for lunch or dinner or even pop in for a morning coffee and breakfast pastry, you won’t be disappointed- best Italian in north east. Owned and run by lovely passionate people.
