Pizza Express

Great place to come, especially with children. They offer children's meal options which come with an activity booklet to keep them entertained. The food was lovely although their variety seems to have been refunded, less pasta dishes. No parking, but there is a car park opposite which does attract a charge but is free after a certain time of night. Main let down, they run out of popular desserts very quickly.

It was a sweltering hot evening, we had parked, walked half a mile and we were going to Pizza Express. Hats off to the skeleton staff they did a good job, and there was none of the anticipated disaster on arrival. Sign on the door said "short of staff service may be affected" , then we stepped inside and it was really hot - no aircon. But the back of the restaurant was better and we'r sat under an aircon unit. Service was good and only a little slow. Food as usual was good quality, the cooks were working hard. Good effort!

The building itself is on a side street so it doesn't look as good but it does have its own car park. The staff here are wonderful, very friendly and inviting if you want to know what something is they will happily explain it too you. The food is delicious with different sizes and kids meals. They also have a gluten free menu and for that they have a completely different section of the kitchen to cook it in so it doesn't get contaminated with wheat.

We had a family meal this evening and absolutely loved it. Service was great and prompt. Our food was as perfect as always and what topped it off was our favourite front of house staff, Kez, was who served us. We will always recommend Pizza Express in Whitstable and if you manage to have Kez welcome you, you will not be disappointed! Thank you all and we will see you again soon.
