Drove to this place from Chelmsford and had the salt & pepper mixed box for £20 , in my view the tastiest and most different take away I have ever had , cannot recommend this take away highly enough, first class food loved it.

Dragon Chef REALLY need to update their menus as the information on them is not correct - you cannot pay over the phone by card and if you use the website every item is 20% more expensive, presumably because they don't own the website and add a surcharge to items to cover the cost to use a pre-made platform. Also, the 10% off for collection as advertised on the menu apparently no longer applies. The menus available at the restaurant are the same too so Dragon Chef could get in trouble for essentially false advertising. UPDATE YOUR MENUS CHAPS!!!
That being said, we placed an order over the phone and agreed to collect to avoid the website surcharge and as I didn't have cash to pay a delivery driver it made no sense to go to a cash point then go home and wait for delivery when I might as well collect while I'm out getting the cash...
The food was very hot when I collected, it had clearly just been prepared, the chap at the counter was polite and apologised for the 'confusion' about the menus, he also gave us some free prawn crackers as a little gesture of goodwill. Another chap there was also very polite too, so I can say that the service is good. The food was very nice too, tasted quite authentic and the portions were quite big. All in I'd give 5 starts for the food, 5 for the service when I was in the restaurant but 2 stars for the massively incorrect menus. If Dragon Chef update their menus to contain correct information then it'd really help their business!

This is the best TAKEAWAY I have had in years and by far the best CHINESE TAKEAWAY I’ve ever had hands down.
The obvious care taken in making their sauces is evident, their sauces are clearly homemade and taste immense.
The crispy shredded beef was perfectly crisp without being in this congealed sauce and burnt to a crisp. Chow Mein was so nicely done. King Pao absolutely perfect.
Hands down would recommend to anyone and everyone.
This place deserves an award.
Regarding delivery, I felt bad as the guy had to come through sets of private land gates but he ended up ringing me just outside.
They were half an hour early who would have thought.

We have used Dragon Chef twice over the Christmas/New Year period and the food, and speed of service, has been excellent.
Lovely food. Big chunks of meat and prawns. Really enjoyed it and the duck was fabulous 👌 x
The yummiest Chinese I’ve EVER had. No grease, no fat, genuine fresh food! Amazing
