We have lunch with a group of friends at this pub on Sunday afternoon. We order traditional British pub food like fish and chips, carvery, sausage with potato mash, stout and bitter, etc.. The food quality is apparently better than chain pub brands. Besides, the staff are nice and helpful too. Of course, it is also reflected in slightly higher prices of food and drink. You can apply for a membership which offers a 20% discount. Highly recommended;

Popped in for the first time yesterday, so only had a drink with my cousin, but we are going back for a meal next week.
The place is clean and spacious with a really friendly atmosphere.
The young ladies who served us, Kelsey and Louise were so pleasant and helpful, smiles to greet us, and genuinely seemed pleased to see us.
We're looking forward to trying the food, as the choices on the menu look delicious.

We really did enjoy our visit to the Cookhouse pub and kitchen ( formally the Albion pub) The fish and chips was undoubtedly the best we have ever had in any pub or restaurant. The staff were also excellent and helpful.

love the very friendly staff, wish they gave me more creamy mash, sausages looked lovely, wish they didn't lock me up when i tried to eat one, would recommend for ex convicts

Couldn't fault the place but it was early when we were there so didn't expect too much, really enjoyed the food, the staff couldn't do enough and we all said we'd go back so enough said
