Brand new bus station, opened 28/10/18. Vast improvement on the old facility on the same site! Bright, and clean, with friendly helpful staff! 20p to spend a penny though...

Well kept up to date station , very clean , staff on hand to help plus plenty of info screens for bus and train services, cash machine , toilets and small shop and enquiry room too all undercover

The new bus station is excellent under cover all the buses have onscreen displays on the bays showing times of the bus your waiting for in real time. Always have someone patrolling the station for added security.

Massive improvement on old station did take a while but worth the wait. Might get crowded with new design but time will tell much better than crossing the path of busses and lots of facilities and staff easy to access also live bus times finally is very welcome. Look new and modern and has train station and other information. So far is being kept clean and fit for purpose. Edit 31/12/18 Changed to 4 star After a few months use. There is unfortunately not great amount of seating for one bay so easily 20 people could be waiting for a bus with 3 seats to wait and people end up clogging the walkway. Also it's a shame they have to charge for the toilets even to keep them clean. In an ideal world the building should have been bigger. But still a better facility than the old one a better shelter and newer facilities. Also my main gripe is the bus time screens are purely speculative and if it's says 10 minutes it could say that for another 10 minutes and not change so it's a bit useless.

Ultramodern bus station with amazing architecture and live departure boards is exactly what Wigan needed, excellent upgrade from the old dump that used to be in its place! Integrates perfectly with the town centre with a thoughtfully placed entrance corridor from Market Street, allowing you to seamlessly get to the shops straight off the bus! Now all it needs is a better variety of bus services (preferably more interurban stuff) and it'll be perfect!

4stars for overall of bus station. However not a fault of bus station but I would only give a 1 star for the amount of people who don't no how to queue what as changed from old bus station when people stood behind each other now it's a case of last in queue first on bus. Perhaps needs markings to show how to stand in line. Unfortunately the majority of these people are pensioners who are stood insulting teenagers about pushing in they need to look at themselves first.
