Plata Tapas

In my opinion, bringing 1 dish of tapas and making other 3 people sit and watch, isn't great service. And empty starter sharing platters still taking whole table up, not being cleared till prompted, isn't great service. But expecting you to be out in 2 hours to free the table. We literally still had food on plates 5 mins before our time ran out, shoved food down, and with full drinks went to sit outside. Running out of cider after a few bottles - bad stock control. The food was nice, but some dishes lacked seasoning.

One of the best restaurants in Wigan, I’ve never left disappointed 😍 Staff are lovely, food is super fresh, and service is always fast. There’s loads of veggie and vegan options - the team are really good at tailoring dishes to dietary requirements if you ask. Only a small venue so make sure you book!

Having travelled to Spain on multiple occasions, I'm simply blown away by the quality and authenticity of the Tapas. I'd go so far as to say that the food here is better than in Spain. We're so lucky to have a Tapas restaurant of this quality in Wigan. Long may Plata Tapas continue! On top of all that, the value for money is exceptional. Most dishes average around the £5/£6 mark and with that in mind, when the bill came it was a pleasant surprise. I've paid 3 times more in other restaurants for a meal that was just about OK. My advice, be grateful for the value and make it up with a healthy tip for the staff who are amazing. Just go! You won't be disappointed!

Have been intending going here since it opened but today was the first time. My son booked a table for a mother's day treat and what a treat it was. All the dishes we picked were utterly delicious, perfectly cooked and really nicely presented. The two young girls waiting on were lovely, very friendly and cheerful. Will definitely be going again soon.
