What a beautiful pub. The last time we came here was 6 years ago and the food was excellent. We expected it to be good and it did not fail. We phoned our booking and our table was waiting. It looked to have been refurbished since we were last there, it looked more spacial and brighter. The staff were lovely, and even went out of their way to alter my meal as I am calorie counting, nothing was too much trouble. We both had steak and as expected it was cooked to perfection. We didn't have to wait long for food. I would imagine it can get busy so booking I would say is recommended.

Had a lovely Sunday roast, choice of 3 meats or you can have a bit of all 3..atmosphere was good, service was great, had to wait a short while for dinner but when it's served it's steaming hot and a generous amount..staff are great ..we will be going back..Best to phone and book Sunday roast, don't know if you have to book any other times..they also do a morning menu like full English and loads of other stuff..
