Henry's Restaurant

4 stars. Make your own burger was cooked medium rare perfectly and was really good. They messed up my burger order and I had to wait for another one. Service was good. Ok pricing. Nice people. Good fries. I liked it, but they should have given me a credit for having to wait for another meal while my guests ate without me. Quiet so conversing was easy.

Henry’s is a great spot - I have been coming for years. Low turnover with staff is always a good sign. Kat at the bar is awesome - not only at service but with people 💜 Nancy as well, always professional! Their General Manager Daniel is motivated and committed, appears to go the extra mile to make improvements and creative offerings. I look forward to hosting my first event there in Dec and confident in the venue, food/drinks, and staff!

My next door neighbor mentioned this place several times to me stating it's one of her favorite places. My husband and I decided to try it out, as we were in the area. It was an early dinner and we sat at the bar. I liked the ambiance of the place, casual and comfortable looking. He ordered the fish and chip with coleslaw. I order the jumbo lump crab cakes (I think it was their special of the night menu). Being from Maryland, I'm always on the lookout for some good crab cakes. Unfortunately, this was a big miss. There was absolutely no lump crab in the cake. It looked nothing like the crab cake in the photo that Lisa B. reviewed back on on September 25, 2017: or in the photo that Delia V. reviewed on Feb 16, 2020. I was so disappointed, but more importantly, the menu stated LUMP and there was NONE. They were two small hockey pucks filled with white crab meat and a lot of filler. And it was pricey for what I got. Other items on the menu were reasonably priced. My husband had the fish and chips, but opted for the coleslaw instead of the chips, along with dirty rice. I had a taste of all and they were very good. Nice batter on the fish and thick/big portions. There were other items on the menu that sounded interesting, so we'll be back. I just will skip any crab cake there. Lastly, service was very good by Kat. UPDATE: Four of us had dinner last night (14 November 2023). Dan, the general manager, invited my husband and me to try this place again to make up for my disappointment of crab cakes I had on my first visit. I ordered the salmon Florentine risotto special of the evening which included tomatoes, spinach and onions. The salmon was so tender and light, definitely not overcooked. The risotto didn't have a heavy cream sauce, which I appreciated. And just enough parmesan cheese to not overwhelm the salmon. My husband had the Hank's Mom's meatloaf, along with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts with bacon. He loved it all. The meatloaf, three slices, came with a side of gravy. My friends meals were very good also (Henry's amazing noodles; and a salad with blackened shrimp). Dan really stepped up to the plate to make up for our first visit. Thank you Dan! Even the Chef came out and asked how we liked our meals. Everything was great. Our waitress was Nancy who provided great service. On our next visit, I want to try the shrimp and grits or the parmesan-crusted chicken or the grilled flank steak or.....

My wife and I stopped in for a rest while we were checking out flats in the area. The calamari was on point, she liked her fudge pie appetizer. Their daily specials are creative, tasty and well presented. We had the Orange Thyme Mahi and Crab stuffed flounder. The wait staff was very attentive, courteous and helpful

I absolutely loved their crab dip!! The Wilmington Burger was good, but there wasn't enough pimento cheese on it. The pimento cheese was delicious. If you're a pimento cheese lover like myself, ask for a little extra on your burger. I also had a Bloody Mary, which was perfect! The waitress and hostess were nice and welcoming. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Can't say enough about this place, it was absolutely incredible! The waiter and waitress Jasun and Emma provided 100% customer satisfaction, always asking and helping! No delay in providing 30 hungry family members various dinner plates of food. Food was hot and DELICIOUS! I was impressed and will be a customer for life!!!!! Thank you Henry's for being able to provide a restaurant where I can finally say, we will return, because of the quality you rendered in providing a setting in which 30 people were all impressed with your service. Oh the management was equal in that they assisted in all areas of support for our wedding Rehearsal dinner!! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!!!!!!

First visit to Henry’s, but not our last. We walked in and were seated quickly and we were provided great service by our friendly and personable server, Skyler. It was difficult to decide what to order; everything sounded amazing. Finally, we chose the Wilmingtonian Burger - A half-pound fresh beef patty served on a toasted brioche bun with house made pimento cheese, house-made pickles, mayo, fried green tomato, applewood smoked bacon, leaf lettuce and red onion. It was amazing! We’ll definitely return to try the Shrimp & Grits and Salmon Salad which looked delicious!
