La Tapatia

It was quiet when I went in so the atmosphere was what I needed after a loud day. Never been in hear before, had no idea what to expect. I speak no Spanish but was able to order a vegetable burrito and it was so freaking good. Roasted veggies, wrapped up, coated in melted cheese, side of delicious Spanish rice. It was perfect. If you're in the area, or never been, visit this excellent restaurant. I have saved the info for my next trip to Wilmington when I will bring the family with me. Great service and food. Gracias!

Good food, fast and then you make it your own. Tried a variety of the tacos. Order and pay at the counter and then they get delivered with just the meat cooked and on top of a tortilla. Then there are lots of fixings and sauces you can add to customize it. I'll have to come back and try some of their dishes. Casual and clean.

If you’ve never had a Pollo Asado Quesadilla in a corn tortilla, you haven’t lived and this place has the best ones in town. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is THE spot! Oh, and that Pollo Asado Quesadilla I mentioned… It was so delicious, I ate the whole thing before I snapped a picture. So, I hope the picture of the Carne Asado Tostada is good enough that you’ll try this place because if you don’t, you’re missing out. Don’t forget the Tres Leche cake for dessert. It’s also equally delicious! 🤩

Highly Recommend It/ Recomendado When visiting Wilmington this weekend, we wanted something authentically Mexican! Traditional flavor! La Tapatía came up! The name is very traditional so we have it a shot! I am Mexican! Eat tacos, tortas, zopes, etc. They have Aguachile (similar to Shimp Ceviche but spicier and less vegetables). Aguachile, traditionally from Nayarit (like me), was DELICIOUS! I was not disappointed at all! All the food was great! Highly Recommend it to anyone with the traditional taste of great Mexican Restaurants! (Picture of the aguachile is only leftover :) )

Man this is the second time we've been here and we just love it. Had a piece of the chocolate flan cake and it was delightful. The woman who helped us said the owner made it. Love to see restaurant owners who are passionate about it! I had the steak fajitas and my husband had al pastor torta and we both really enjoyed it. The street corn was really good too!
