Gave this pub a second chance and glad we did. Compliments to the chef for the amazing meal we had. You could clearly tell that changes have been made in the positive direction. The lamb we had was really delicious and better than other places we’ve tried in the area. Highly recommend and will come again for sure.

An amazing experience. I haven't had such delicious food for a long time. Worth every quid, you could tell for the service we got it wasn't expensive. I see that the Minster Arms seems to have undergone a kitchen makeover. The chef did a great job. You could feel it was fresh. The lamb was juicy perfectly cooked just the way I like it! Amazing meat, the prawns thanks to the chilli Butter were equally delicious . There is definitely no pub in the area with such good and fresh food. Highly. recommend to anyone! We will definitely come back here with friends ❤️

Had a really beautiful Sunday roast here today. Atmosphere and interior of the pub was beautiful, food quality was great and service top notch! I've lived in Wimborne for 4 years and this was my first visit, we will be back!

Positive - slept well, nice coffee maker, reasonable sized room.
Negative - "free breakfast" in a hamper outside door was ok if you like sugar (no breakfast option would have been better for us), WiFi didn't reach room
Experience (ok) - Breakfast left outside door (no other service available) Basic sugary, breakfast of two cling film wrapped danish pastries and two boxes of cereal in a hamper, milk in thermos, as well as two bottles of fruit juice - not good for my my who wife doesn't eat sugar or cakes (might have been on the details when we booked but hadn't noticed - is mentioned how basic it is in a lot of reviews so missed that). Dripping shower that we couldn't stop but wasn't too disturbing with the door closed. Bathroom small but ok, loo a bit tricky not to bash head on sloping roof above it (esp for man). WiFi supposedly exists but didn't work in the room - tried two phones and a computer. Admittedly we were up a few flights of very narrow stairs (no lift as building is old, so maybe a distance from the router). Data signal on phone fine. To be fair room was reasonable size and we slept very well in a good sized bed and despite central-ish position it was pretty quiet. Tea, coffee making facilities in room, shampoos etc fine. Parking not included so had to use public parking which is close by(free after 6pm).

Friendly greeting, dogs welcome in the bar area with a complimentary dog biscuit or two. Highly recommend Thursday night steak night, really good value for money & compliments to the chef... perfectly cooked steak & fresh ingredients, absolutely lush & will return soon. Thank you.

Visited for Sunday lunch. Roast beef, Yorkshire pud, roasted potatoes with a variety of vegetables accompanied with a hot skillet of the best cauliflower cheese! A delicious meal with a lovely restaurant. The staff are so welcoming accomodating and made me and my husband very welcome. We will return as it's so hard to find chef prepared meals.

Absolutely beautiful rooms, gorgeous bathrooms and surroundings. Hosts are really lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and for accommodating us at the very last minute and thank you so much for a fab stay.

Me and my mum stayed here this weekend in the barrolle room, lovely decor, comfortable beds, good shower, lovely bar area but it was the manager (can’t remember his name) who made me think- I will definitely return as he was so attentive and friendly, couldn’t have been more helpful.
Couple of minor niggles- 1st morning of breakfast had to hunt down the staff for over 10 minutes to get non dairy milk and limited vegan items as it was a continental breakfast. What would have been helpful is signs for the named rooms as not only did we struggle to find our room but other guests also told us the same but otherwise an enjoyable lovely place
