We stopped for a meal on the way back home from Salisbury, the food and service were great, thanks. I did find the dining room noisy, it's a silly thing really but as there is no carpet sound reverberates so it's difficult to chat quietly without all diners hearing! The toilet could definitely do with a 'face lift".

Friendly pub and restaurant. Went on a Sunday, the menu wasn't extensive but was fine. Not the easiest place to walk to or from as the paths in the area all end on the road a little way away from here, though we managed it. Massive car park here though if you are driving.

Service was very friendly, nothing was to much for the ladies to help with . Was bit of a wait on the meal , but we had big table, alot of us and it was busy day. Once got the food it was very tasty , burgers all around , couple of roasts . Kids enjoyed ordering their own food . Nice coffees and desserts to polish it off . Would go for food there either family again. Ohh and we had 4 dogs around our table , very dog friendly too . Very nice pub .

Didn't stay in rooms so can't give score. Food wasn't really available as they yet again had a problem with kitchen/gas off. This had happened before when we arranged to meet a friend there for a meal. Otherwise very friendly atmosphere, drinks good.

We had not been to the Horton Inn for some time, so thought we should return. Glad we did. Excellent service and food as well as good beer on offer. If we were to nit- pick, then the lighting was a bit bright for our liking giving the restaurant area a sort of "cafe" feel. Otherwise, all good, and already planning a return.

Lovely staff. It's pet friendly. It's close to the maid road, so it's a bit noisy. There isn't a public path to walk around the area.

I used the forecourt to turn my van around here on Monday morning. I found the turning space extremely ample, and enjoyed very much the crunch of the gravel. This brief moment in the bosom of The Horton was extremely helpful, as I was previously going the wrong way, and the fine establishment helped to correct my course, in a part of Dorset, which frankly doesn't have a lot of safe turning spaces. For that I've issued a 5 star review. I am assuming based on my experience that the food and taps are top quality, and accommodation should they have any.

Pleasant Sunday roast served by friendly people. The whitebait was also lovely and fresh and the chicken liver parfait was very tasty. All good. Worth a try.

Came in a few times when my friend was staying here, I was staying locally also. The place is great and the food etc was great too. My friend was impressed with his stay too.
In particular though, Becky was really friendly, kind and accommodating. Thanks Becky!

Stayed at the Horton Inn for 5 nights in August 2023 and was made very welcome. Staff very friendly, room was lovely and the service and food were very good. Kathy, who served us a huge delicious breakfast every morning, was very good at advising us of places to go sightseeing and could not do enough for us. Ideal location for Dorset, Cranborne and the south coast. This place is very dog friendly and they make a fuss of your pet. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would love to go back.
