Quite a way for us to travel, but well worth it. Lovely food and atmosphere. Amazing gardens for the family to sit or/and play. Good selection of ale and cider. Will be going back.
We had a lovely carvery and vegetable lasagne which were good portions and value. The desserts were yummy too. I had strawberry pavlova which was delicious.
The young waitress who served us was very pleasant and polite… nothing was too much trouble… sorry I didn’t catch her name.
The staff here are excellent and friendly and helpful, the food here is excellent and a carvery on Sunday which was delicious, the accommodation was brilliant, the room was comfortable and warm, easy car parking available, highly recommend a visit here.
Children's play area was superb. Toilets weren't great and a very long way to walk. Service was good apart from one order that was wrong and tried twice to get us to accept order, which we didn't. Otherwise an enjoyable couple of hours for our group of 10.
Handy place to meet the in-laws, although had to do quite a bit of re-jiggery with various wobbly tables to get a table big enough! Carvery was nice (though meat dry), have had better but also had worse. Kids enjoyed their food. My main reason for 4 stars was the lovely girl behind the bar, who was so attentive with my daughter when she fell on a load of small rocks near the entrance and cut herself in 3 places. The bar girl really helped calm her down and applied first aid.
The outside area was good, we had a 4, 8 and 10 yo with us and they enjoyed the go karts and playground.
Electric car charging points too, so may revisit using my EV!
Very handy location just off the A303. Spacious and popular. We stopped off a mid journey meal. Great choice and tasty food. Carvery on Sundays
Really convenient from the A303 but about a mile from the junction it's also quite peaceful. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. They also have a good sized play area outside, a covered terrace and a covered smoking area. We will stay here again.
Absolutely lovely in here, staff was lovely, and food was just perfect, they do not go by halves, and pricing is right in my budget, I will definitely be back, and won me over any other breakfast.

Went for lunch so didn't use rooms.
Food was delicious & I chose char grilled chicken breast with stilton & mushrooms, I chose mashed potatoes rather than chips, dish of fresh veg mashed swede green beans all excellent, cant wait to go back..
