We arrived early then our booking, manage to get parking straight away, we went to the bar and were served immediately for our drinks. Later we were called to our table when it was ready. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Service was excellent the Sunday roast was to die for, well worth the price. Was only there for a meal not to use the hotel.
Lovely pub for our overnight stay. Really warm welcome by friendly staff. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean with good facilities (could have done with some decaf coffee, I'm sure if we'd have asked they would have provided some.
The evening meal was fabulous, good portions, well cooked, served by friendly attentive staff. The choices on the menu were small, but I don't mind that when the food is this good.
The breakfast was excellent, large portion of fabulous local products, very well cooked and served.
Would definitely recommend a visit.
Went for Sunday lunch today, 20th August 2023.
The food was excellent and the service was divine. One issue with obtaining a Gluten Free meal was flagged by the staff and immediately alternatives were presented.
A minor issue was that the cutlery seems a bit aged and struggled a bit sometimes, it could do with a refresh. Having said that, there is nothing that would stop me visiting again for such a delicious meal.
P.S. the puddings are pretty spectacular.
Limited menu. High-quality food, plated carefully with high attention to detail. One recommendation, they could possibly have a larger selection of beer on tap. Though, there was still a decent selection
Went there for a lovely lunch last Sunday. The roast was a clear 10/10. The only negative point was that the price of the roasts were £21 on the day but showing £18 on the website which is a 15% increase. The website menu needs updating, but great service and food.
The food was great. Service excellent and staff very friendly. Huge portions. Definitely a go to place in the area.
Very nice food and the staff were super welcoming and friendly. We'd actually visited by accident as we'd broken down! Lara and her team were so kind and understanding. We'd defininetly visit again if in the area.
Stayed at the Bugle in with my wife, room was very clean, spacious and modern. Good sized bathroom too. Booked a table easily and the food was great. Had a lovely stay.
The food was excellent, and there was a good selection of wines and beers. The staff were friendly, providing good service, and kept us informed if there were delays. With it obviously being a popular pub, the relatively small car park gets full quickly. However, the staff were very helpful in facilitating alternative arrangements. Overall, both our recent visits, which were the first occasions we had been there, were very enjoyable.
Came for lunch. Nice staff, beer, food and place. Will come again. Music not too loud: can talk to one another.
