Such an awesome restaurant. The cider tasting board was excellent (shout-out to Sheppy's Elderflower!) and the pizzas were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended the Winchester and the Burger Pizzas. Can't wait to come back.
Been the stable customer for years. They need to do better on vegan pizzas!
Garlic bread was delicious, however it would be great to clarify that starter should not come with main. We paid for extra jalapeños and there wasn’t really any “extra” ones. Chef seems not very generous with toppings, even when requested and paid for extra.
Love their annings cider but for some reason they stopped ordering pear and peach for years and that’s the best one.
I attached a photo of “extra jalapeños” we got in Cardiff the stable! That’s what I’m talking about!
I'm happy to announce that the Pizza at The Winchester Stable is still as perfect as back in 2019 when I was there for the first time. Winchester wasn't on my route this time but the detour was worth it. The service is excelent, I love the atmosphere and the Pizza variations are great! Honestly, I only had better Pizza in Italy.
Really good pizza, friendly staff. The Winchester pizza was delicious!! And drinks are fairly reasonable 😀
Would love to see pies back on the menu in the winter!
Great lunch, food was really good! Especially the tater tots with alioli😋 and biscoff cheesecake. I had a ruby red spritz which was a non alcoholic cider with lemonade and it tasted like a cocktail! We’ll come back to try more food and cider.
Went for a pint at midday and it wasn’t too busy! Pints are around £5.75, and there is outdoor seating. It is situated on a quiet street so there is no noise from the road. Would definitely recommend it here and will be back to try the food!

We love visiting The Stable in Winchester; it's great for adults and kids.
Although there is limited parking outside, we've always been able to find parking somewhere in Winchester. This includes disabled parking.
For starters, the kids have always enjoyed having garlic or cheesy garlic bread. As a family, we want different toppings on our pizza; the kids like having the 'Proper Margherita' or the 'The Meat is On'. The last time we went there, my wife and I tried 'The Meat is On' - delicious.
There are loads of drinks on our kids usually go for one of the Spritz drinks; if I'm not driving, I'll have a Neck Oil (which I love).
They have an excellent selection of desserts on the menu. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with their Biscoff Cheesecake. I'll eat that every day of the week, thank you very much.
I do have fond memories of the building The Stable is located in; many moons ago, it used to be a bar called Moloko's. That was the place to be on Friday or Saturday night. They used to service a mean Refresher Vodka. It's nice to pop back to reminisce.
We love eating out at The Stable; it won't disappoint.
First visit to Winchester, this little Gem caught our eye. The food was fantastic (burger sour dough pizza & Mac n cheese) and the peach beer was awesome. Service by Leo and his colleague was top draw.
Visited The Stable for our eldest daughter's birthday as she's a pizza lover. Pizza's overall were devoured, I had the Aubergine Kenobi which didn't disappoint whilst the girls had the Hawaii 5 0. Partner had kiln smoked salmon salad which was very fresh and we'll proportioned. Only minor disappointment was that we added in our booking that it was our daughter's birthday but no reference was made to this on our arrival or during... even something as simple as asking us if we had brought a cake with us as happens elsewhere. A minor point and overall though really enjoyed our visit and would recommend to pizza lovers!
Passing by on a chilly damp day, taking in the sights and we glanced in the window. We were not sure if it was open, but I tried the door and was met by a lovely, friendly young lady. We chose a table, purchased fabulously tasting cider, Mac n' Cheese, and pizza plus lush cheesecake. All in all, cracking - glad I tried the door. Our presence in the window worked, the place was buzzing when we left.
