We stumbled across this pub last weekend and instantly enjoyed the vibe, the bar staff are lovely and friendly. Great selection of wine, beer, spirits and cocktails.
We have since decided this will be our new local and enjoyed a couple of evenings there and last night decided to try out the food.

Perfect location in the centre of Winchester. Room had a few minor repairs that need doing but was clean and comfortable. Stayed on a Saturday night and pub is lively, so there was noise till about 1am. Didn't bother us but something to be aware of. Would stay again.
Really nice food but a bit pricey. They brought out the wrong dish and it was quickly rectified and taken off the bill. Really good service and lots of lovely dogs in the courtyard!
Came here for a meal with a large group of friends, the atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly. The food was very tasty. We then moved to the bar area which had a cool DJ so great to have a dance and drink. Would recommend for a good night out.
We were graciously permitted to join the friends and family soft launch of the new menu (possibly as I wore a birthday badge!). Honestly, I’ve been to some top restaurants and I was in absolute heaven. I can’t promise you’ll get the same menu options as it was a trial, but the chicken thigh croquett

Super lovely stay in an old inn that's had new life breathed into it. The room was really nice and the location perfect. The staff are great and gave us amazing service despite juggling a busy bar, food service and full hotel. Will definitely come back!
Kitchen hasn’t been open long and it was our first visit, we had a lovely late lunch. Food was delicious and freshly cooked and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back for Sunday lunch in the future. Thank you!
Excellent Sunday dinner
Was working in Winchester for a couple of days and went here for food. It wasn't imposing so a big place to eat even on my own.
Had the roast beef which was great and had a good variety of veg.
Decent bar too. Didn't go much further than the vodka menu. Didn't need to.
Recomm
Having tried and tested many a roast - this was hands down the best I’ve had!
The pub itself is cosy and welcoming, with the most helpful and friendly staff. A standing ovation for the chef!!

Nice big room, great location for the start of our South Downs Way walk. Dont do food so you have to go elsewhere. Wouldn't be too difficult to lay on a continental breakfast.
