Probably my favourite spot in Winchester. It’s not as busy as some of the cafes by the cathedral so you can almost always get a table, the cakes and pastries are delicious, as are the drinks.
It’s got a very chilled atmosphere, and often there are people working away or reading at the other tables and I can recommend doing so if you are looking for somewhere good in Winchester to work while you have access to coffee/ tea and food.
The only down side is that there’s a very limited range of gluten free food - usually just a brownie and a lemon and blueberry loaf cake - it would be great to have more of a range available, maybe even something savoury?

Had a delicious citrus 'croissant' style pastry with an excellent decaff latté which had a good flavour. Service was efficient and friendly. Nicely tucked away, quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended. Would have given five stars but it is quite expensive - okay for a treat though.

Absolutely fantastic space. Everything you would expect from a 5 star coffee shop. The food and coffee was great. The space was ideal for working and the baristas were lovely.

Phwoar - what a lovely coffee shop. We had breakfast here today and loved the various coffees we selected - from a piccolo, a flat white to lattes. A range of alternative milks are available. Between us we ate a very crispy bacon sandwich, croissants with jam and butter, a dark chocolate cookie, custard-filled Madagascan vanilla roll and apple and cinnamon roll. All delicious. The lighting and seating is so stylish, staff were super helpful. There’s a free water station and it’s dog- friendly (we saw so many great dogs today!) A great cafe - would definitely recommend a visit if you’re in Winchester.

Really nice big and stylish space - very Scandinavian in appearance, loads of seating, loads of dogs, perfect combo! The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the coffee here is really tasty. Also had a bacon sandwich - the bread was super crumbly and perfectly toasted, and the bacon was lovely and crispy. The sweet buns are yummy too, especially the vanilla custard filled one.

A group of us stopped by Academy for coffee and lunch on a busy Saturday, and the although it was busy, tables come up pretty quickly as it’s a quite a large coffee shop. It’s very stylish, with a ‘Scandinavian’ minimalist feel. The coffee was the main star of the show, and was truly one of the nicest coffees I have had in a very long time. The lunch items were all nice too, although the sandwiches I felt were priced a little too highly for the size.
We finished off lunch with a Hoxton sweet bun, which are delicious, and I’ll never turn down the chance to have one! In Winchester, there is one thing we’re not short of and that’s coffee shops, however I feel that Academy really stands out with great style and more importantly, amazing coffee.

Loved that the tea I ordered was brewed in the cup, rather than having a tea bag. Nice atmosphere, although might be a little too dark for some. Very nice and cool on a hot day though.

Used to go to the one in Chichester but this one is even better - they've clearly put their heart and soul into this place - lovely staff, great coffee and a good vibe even in Covid secure conditions. We had the avo wrap and the coronation chicken wrap - both delicious. I did worry the coffee was more about the instagramable coffee art than the taste, but I was proved wrong. 5 stars all round.

Beautiful Coffee. In taste and appearance. A very busy location as I'm sure most of Winchester's cafe's become but still received some friendly service and decent seating. All of Coffee Lab's locations have a real clean feel to them. I just get the feeling that the most important thing to them is the coffee, cake and food tasting really good.
