Wow. The Samling is the definition of quiet luxury in British style. We stayed for two nights and everything was exceptional - attention to details, comfort of the room, peaceful hot tub overlooking the lake, delicious breakfast, and the tasteful art curation (Miro & Picasso!!!).
The hotel exceeded
One of the best tasting menus and wine flights we have ever had. It was made so much more by Nigel and his charm and amazing play list, Eric with his unbelievable knowledge and wine choices and Liza for technical support!
I visited a number of years ago… has to be one of the most beautifully kept hotels in the Lake District. The views across the lake are amazing the food outstanding and the staff are fantastic. Highly recommended.
