We always visit the Duchess when visiting Windsor and have never had a bad meal. We visit yesterday (after booking mid morning) around 5:30pm for Sunday Lunch. The place was busy but we happily got a table towards the back end of the pub, perfect as we had our 7yr old and almost 2 yr old. As always the staff as extremely attentive, fetching colourings and pens for the little ones. Fast service and food arrived piping hot and as delicious as ever. The beef was melt in your mouth!! Children's menu is great and my normal fussy 7yr old ate the lot. Thanks for a wonderful start to our minibreak 👍🏼
Cannot fault: staff very friendly - beer wet and alcoholic - food OUTSTANDING. Without doubt the best Steak n Ale pie I have ever had - the Fish in the fish n chips was the best quality I've had in some years - prices did not reflect the quality, thought it would cost more. Thank you for making my evening.
We stopped here for lunch after visiting Windsor castle. It’s directly across the street from the castle. We had the fish make chips and the hunter’s chicken. Both were excellent. The atmosphere is classic British pub with beautiful interior decor and the standard hanging plants outside. Definitely check this place out when in Windsor
Great food
My husband and I stopped at The Duchess of Cambridge Pub before touring Windsor Castle.
I ordered the Steak and Ale Pie, and my husband ordered the Fish and Chips.
Our food was delicious, and our server was very nice.
I highly recommend this pub.
Enjoyed a relaxing time with scrumptious eats and delightful brews. Staff members were accommodating and friendly. It is a worthwhile stop after visiting Windsor Castle!
Booked here after a day at Legoland. Food was great and the service was brilliant. Prices were very reasonable. What more can you ask for. Oh yes the amazing castle view. Highly recommended. Nachos were hands down best we have tasted.
Amazing pub and waygu burger so good i can't explain in words you need to try it yourself service and food 5 stars from me
Great English food, friendly staff and nice relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend!
My friend took me here for the first time, was very impressed. From the outside it looks like a very high end restaurant but step inside and you find a friendly informal dinning experience. The staff were really helpful and service was quick. There's a large and varied menu with prices which were not too high considering the location.
Food came quickly with good sized portions.
Will definitely be visiting again to try something different.
My only negative point was the toilets were looking a little tired and could have done with refurbishment.
Really nice, traditional atmosphere. Although a bit touristy but that's due to the location. Service was good, quick and professional. The drink selection was good, reasonably priced. Food was alright but still decently priced given the location.
The only thing I would say needs improvement is the toilet(s). It's clean but if they could just place a reed diffuser or some better air freshener in there, would make a huge difference.
Always our eatery of choice when we come to the theatre in Windsor. The menu is reliable and the food really good. We shared five small plates and that was more than enough for two people. The staff are just lovely. Friendly and attentive and they never rush you. It was a bit noisy this time with large parties of boisterous people but they ended up outside so things quietened down. Just a short hop down the hill to the theatre afterwards. Perfect.
Great spot to grab some grub after your tour of Windsor Castle, conveniently located on the walk back towards the train station. Has a lovely outdoor seating area in the back (it was too hot for us during our visit) but also has plenty of space to spread out inside. We ordered the steak pie and the veggie burger. Both were quite good!
