The mark of any good chippy is the quality of the chips, facts, you would think that was a given, right? but not today, I have tried many a chippy and found the quality of chips to be sub par however Big Joe is highly skilled in the art of frying chips, he is a certified chip fryer, yes there is qualification in frying chips, why wouldn't there be. Cooked to perfection his chips are crisp on the outside light and fluffy on the inside even after being wrapped and eaten at home (I live 5min away), I have tried most if not all local chip shops in the Windsor and Dedworth area and still haven't found a contender. Their fish is on par with their chips, cooked in a light batter which I prefer as it doesn't hold as much oil and is boxed not wrapped allowing it to breath and retain its crispiness when opened in the comfort of ones own home oh and lest not forget the slice of lemon, a small yet crucial addition. Aside from the usual chip shop fare he has an impressive burger menu grilled to order as well as a guilty pleasure of mine..The Doner kebab, both chicken and lamb available, served with fresh salad and a choice of pitta bread or in a wrap, flavoursome to say the least, something that is missing in most kebab houses. Word of warning, Big Joe's by name Big Joe's by nature, the regular portions are large enough to feed two depending on appetite of course, A large portion of chips could comfortably feed 3, this applies to the Kebabs too, so be careful when ordering, the high quality of the food means that it can easily be reheated the following day (air-fryer works best) with no loss in taste or quality if you have ordered too much but you won't have difficulty forcing yourself to finish it. There will be a queue during peak times as Big Joe likes to cook chips in smaller batches so that they are as fresh as possible, I usually have to wait 5 minutes but it is worth the wait, most patrons will agree with me, they accept telephone orders which is very handy in this case as it saves waiting. FYI they do NOT accept card payments only cash or direct bank transfer, this is a common theme amongst businesses trying to be competitive yet saving costs by not sacrificing quality of food, there is a Tesco with an ATM 2 min down the road. Stayed in LEGOLAND and food was disgusting, searched for best chippers near me and this place was top of the list. Had food two nights from Big Joes, different orders for family of 5 and was not disappointed at all. Top quality, top service 5 stars all round.

The food is soooo ammazing ..its the best place to eat. I live the chips and the hospitality. Always fresh food.
