Wonderful experience. Service was excellent and accommodating, very professional. We went to try the tasting menu and were treated to some delicious dishes and tasty desserts. I only wish there was slightly more on some plates to enjoy some of the flavours more. The atmosphere was relaxing and warm. A thoroughly pleasant afternoon.

Went for a one night stay. Had a michelin star meal in the evening and breakfast the next day. I want to highlight the staff here. All welcoming, all know you. Apart from the initial 'can we have your name' for the checking in, we were never asked, it felt so easy and everything was done for us. During the meal we were cared for and had everything we needed with no issue. The waiters were fantastic and knowledgeable. The wine pairing was well worth the money. The food itself was just indescribably good. Special shout out to the poor lad who had to help us out in the middle of the night when I took a headache turn. Again the service is amazing. We stayed in the Wintra suite and it was spacious and quiet, lots of amenities in the room. One issue we had was with the bath plug, it's one of the spinny ones and don't think it's been used much so was a little tough to rotate, other than that we had no issues! Breakfast was again an easy time, quickly seated and food was already ready as we had ordered the day before. I think the prices for breakfast were less than we were initially told but that's no issue for us, just perhaps need some updates on the menu!

4 of us treated ourselves to lunch here, the food was beautifully cooked, the food service professional and attentive, the surroundings pleasant and actually good value for money. So I would return again in a heartbeat right? Erm actually no, it just didn’t live up to the Michelin star experience for me and frankly it felt like there were some slightly underhand business practices like on-selling extras but not mentioning how much they cost. So the first disappointment was when we ordered our pre dinner drinks, only for the server to return and inform us that half the drinks weren’t available! Not what I expect from a restaurant operating at this level. Complimentary appetisers were served (and were delicious) and extras offered, we opted for a plate of salmon and caviar but no prices were mentioned. As I said the food was beautifully cooked but almost every course including the appetisers had some sort of crunchy topping or coating. This is lazy menu writing at best and again not something I expect from a Michelin star chef. At the end of the meal a cheese board was offered. I forget the actual words used by the server but it sounded to me me like it was another complimentary course, it certainly wasn’t introduced with “would you like to try our amazing cheeseboard, it’s £19 extra”! And yes I have dined in places where the cheese board has been complimentary. The final part of the experience is paying the bill. I was disappointed to find the infuriating service charge has been added. Seriously? We’ve just paid £400+ for our meal and you help yourselves to a £40+ tip? It is my decision if I want leave a tip not yours. Why don’t you pay your staff a decent living wage so they don’t have to rely on charity? Yes I know it’s discretionary but most people are too embarrassed to ask for it to be removed. Despite my criticisms there is nothing I would like more than for you to get a second Michelin star and I hope my comments will help you get there.

Possibly the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Service incredible. We had the tasting menu and every course just incredible. The decor isn’t to my taste but everything else is simply wonderful.

Ripper night! Fantastic food, great wine pairings, and no smooth jazz - rock and roll all night. We will definitely be back and will stay the night. Cheers 🥂

This is an outstanding restaurant even by Michelin standards. The food is innovative , with pure and striking flavours and is beautifully presented. The staff at all levels are outstanding and so nice to meet and deal with. The restaurant itself is excellent as are the outside terrace areas and the guest rooms. This was our second visit and stay and we will definitely be going back

One night stay. We booked a midweek package stay, which included dinner bed and breakfast. As you can have a dog friendly room,we took our two dogs with us. The room leads on from the car park. Which was lovely with quite a spacious bathroom. At night, it was that quiet you could have heard a pin drop. It's well worth booking a room if you are dining in the restaurant for dinner as there's no driving home. The continental breakfast is served in the main building across the courtyard. A pleasant stay in a very tranquil village with plenty of nice walks nearby. Review helpful please like 👍 follow thanks.

Dinner Immersive and interactive dining. This has been on our list for quite some time, but we finally made it. A whole new dining experience has been created to bring customers closer to the action of the kitchen. Which is something we look for, as it's not just about the exquisite food. On arrival, you are seated in the lounge and served snacks with your pre-dinner drinks. Then you are taken through to the kitchen where Gareth Bartram served us a lovage Broth. Once seated in the all New restaurant space, the experience begins. It's great to see the chefs interact with the diners and show their passion for what they have created. Local produce is featured very strongly in their menus. Could not possibly pick a favourite dish. Every mouthful was delightful, and the service impeccable.

What an amazing experience! I have been twice now, once for lunch and once for an evening meal. Both times were exquisite. The staff are wonderfully attentive and the food is was exceptional. The waiters and waitresses are exceptionally knowledgeable about the food, especially the wine and can recommend what type to have with your dish. I was not disappointed. It is truly a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it to anyone. I do not like fish and they were happy to change the courses to suit my needs. I was expecting it to be rather expensive but it was actually very reasonable if you factor in what you are getting and the experience of it all. I cannot wait to go back.

This is fine dinning at a Michelin star restaurant. This is dinning at its best, so it comes at a cost! So for most people it's an occasional luxury rather than a regular event! As expected, the food is exceptional and you have the choice of either the a la carte menu, or the 'taster' menu. With the taster menu you are given a sample of everything on that days menu list! If for dessert you are a cheese board fan, then the cheese trolly will be a pleasure to behold. The choices are extensive and you can sample whatever takes your fancy! The waiter will explain everything about the cheeses and suggest an appropriate wine to have with them...heaven! The staff are always keen to help you have a very pleasant time, and will check with you when you book, if you have any dietary requirements, or dislikes. This is not really (Imho) a good place for disabled wheelchair users. The car park is gravelled, and some rooms are on two levels. I'm not sure about access to wheelchair friendly toilets, but access to the gents is down a small flight of stairs! I recommend a phone call first to check that the facilities meet your needs.

Awesome food, only let down was the annoying lady who greeted us and took our payment afterwards - everything else was perfect. Car parking spaces could be clearer, but this is a minor gripe.

Outstanding from start to finish. We were welcomed at the door and taking through to a lounge area where we ordered two excellent cocktails. We then were shown through to the dining area for our six course tasting menu. Absolutely exquisite food, wonderfully cooked with every flavour coming through. Extremely well thought out courses perfectly placed and with impeccable service. We ordered a bottle of white from the sommeliers recommend section and it was very reasonable in price and perfectly complimented the food, which I imagine is very difficult. Very impressive place

Had always wanted to eat here when previously lived in the area but never did. So for an anniversary treat we booked the 6 course tasting menu for lunch. And wow, what a treat! Great welcome and looked after really well from then on. Staff very professional but friendly..the food was excellent, the service top class. Intend to get back there as the experience well worth repeating (and well worth spending the kids inheritance without feeling guilty!)

The Winteringham Fields is a 3 AA rosette restaurant on the banks of the river Humber. Previously the restaurant was one of the best in England, holding two Michelin stars, however the previous chef sold the restaurant and as things stand some have considered it a fall from grace. However things have been looking up as new owner and head chef Colin McGurran became a well known face on the Great British Menu (a competition between the top regional chefs of Britain) and twice has had his dishes on the final menu beating top competition.
