The Warren

We were really impressed with the imaginative menu and the quality of the food, which was great value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful about allergy information. Service was a little slow but we recognise that we were there at a very busy time, and were catching up with friends so a leisurely lunch was fine.

We were served by 2 lovely ladies. We didn't catch one of the ladies names but she and Amie were so attentive and made the experience enjoyable. She had a wonderful wit and humour joking about with our table. They had some training going on towards the end of the evening but still checked in as and when and allowed us to enjoy the evening at our pace and no need to rush. The food was incredible we had the linguine and 3 roasts, we all left feeling pleasantly plump and the puddings and coffees were a great way to finish the evening. I would highly recommend coming down for a cozy place to eat as a couple or a family different areas of the pub suit the different vibes.

I am quite critical about hospitality service in the UK but every single member of staff we encountered last night were all excellent, I think approx. six members of staff served us throughout the evening. They didn’t do anything extraordinary they were just polite, upbeat, smiled and attentive. To be honest they made our evening. The restaurant itself and atmosphere is lovely, have always thought so. The menu choices were good and varied, perhaps a bit too much seafood and fish for my husband but enough choice to satisfy. Not sure how you keep your food so hot and for so long, that was impressive. All of the food was lovely. If I was looking for anything negative it was perhaps not the best in terms of presentation but I am looking for faults as there really weren’t any. It was a miserable evening with torrential rain and given it was my birthday it had been quite a miserable day. Our meal at The Warren brightened our day.

First visit to the pub, we sat outside in the garden area which has plenty of space and seating, with and without umbrellas for those needing a touch of shade, food was tasty and an interesting variety on the menu, I wanted to try various options! Staff were friendly and the location is good with good parking too, value for money as well, its worth the price and its not too expensive.
