Oakingham Belle

After a long, wet day at Legoland we booked a table at short notice and we're met with a warm welcome. Food was absolutely beautiful, my steak was cooked to perfection and even my 6 year old said both his cheese burger and brownie were delicious. Extra stars to our server, Jack, who was the perfect level attentive and always had a smile despite clearly being extremely busy seeing to all of the tables at our end of the pub single handedly. Lovely atmosphere and facilities as well. Will definitely return if we are back in the area.

On arrival we were spoken to my Zee who said he would be with us in a minute as he was serving some one We told him we had a booking for lunch but I was confused my the time on booking which said 3.15-4.45 pm so I took it to be between the time period never mind we stayed as the chef was not there to after 5pm We brought a drink for my Husband as Zee gave me mine for a present for my birthday. When the chef arrived we where seated in the dining area had a wonderful meal in amazing atmosphere

I have pre-booked a table for two as both myself and my friend both travelled afar (the pub is kind of our middle point). Unfortunately my friend was over 45 mins late due to traffic so I had to give up our table. It was very busy at the time and I have already waited for 15/20 minutes for my drink and it still hasn't arrived. When I was just about to cancel the order and leave, one of the lovely lady said if we don't mind, we could eat at the bar area but we just needed to order food at the bar ourselves. Needless to say I was very pleased. Maybe the time by then was not as bad (but there were still lots of customers) - the food and drinks arrived quite quickly and gosh we were so so glad we have stayed. The food was simply gorgeous and generous in quantity. We both ordered a roast dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Although we couldn't quite finish it we decided to order puddings anyway. We had pana cotta and sticky toffee pudding again they were so so good. The only down side was that the coffee machine was broken that day or we could have stayed even longer! The only thing that we took a star off was not because of the service or the food. It was the last behind us who got a dog. Whilst we appreciate the pub is dog friendly, that dog did a poop on the floor (not carpet luckily in the bar area) and we were like dear lord please help us). She did cleaned it quickly but it put us off slightly that's all. Overall brilliant experience and we will definitely go back again without a doubt. Thank you.

We visit the Oakingham Belle every week for lunch. We find the staff there so friendly and attentive and made this our regular lunchtime venue for that reason. We particularly enjoy the dog friendly nature of the pub. The food is always consistent and service is quick which is important for a lunch time visit. Top marks to all the staff at there.

Lovely restaurant. New favourite for birthdays. The atmosphere would have been fantastic if it wasn't for a couple of people (other customers, not anyone who worked there. One who moaned about dogs, yet its a dog friendly restaurant, and another who moaned about a few children being there, although it's a family friendly place) If you visit here..please know there is a section for dogs, and one section without dogs.. if you don't like dogs.. sit in the other area. This is also a family-friendly restaurant, so children will be there. If you want something without dogs and children, this is not the place for you. All are welcomed here, and we love that as a family as many do also.

We had friends stay with us from Somerset and wanted to treat us to a meal to say 'thank you'. We chose the Oakingham Belle because of the menu and it certainly lived up to iits reputation. Great food cooked to perfection and plenty of it and nicely presented. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and we were very impressed especially our friends who also remarked how reasonable all items on the menu were. We all remarked how well the food had been cooked especially the steaks which were done precisely as requested. The gammon was so tender and the Scampi was actually too much for my friend to eat so all in all a perfect evening with good food in a very lovely restaurant which we will be returning to more often. Everything was good. One of our party of three had visited before and recommended. Very impressed with the food (two of us had 3 courses, the other had 2), all delicious. Also staff were friendly and efficient. It wasn't very busy, but a few other people who also looked happy. Hope to visit again, want to try a lunchtime.

The service to be seated was quick, and friendly. They gave us a few minutes which was nice to decide on drinks. Drinks came over, saw we could use the APP to order and pay. We had done this at the same rate as the waitress coming over to ask what we wanted, I felt bad as she was happy, smiling and ready to take our order. If we were to visit again I wouldn't use the APP, food came out quick and hot. Was very tasty, we all had something for light lunch and the portion size was perfect.

Staff were lovely & inviting. Welcomed myself & my 4 children, provided menus to colour in & some crayons to keep them occupied whilst meals were being prepared. The surf & turf was amazing & tasted great, The children’s meals weren’t quite as good as I had hoped, the portions were quite small compared to what we normally get at other places, the chicken nuggets/dippers were processed, 100% chicken breast would be better. The premises was beautifully decorated,warm & very clean.would visit again
