Fantastic night for my birthday with my family fantastic food and drink even had a candle in my pudding lovely .Thanks to Laurna,Chris,Amy and all the staff at the horse and jockey always treated so well best place to eat and drink .
I visit the Horse and Jockey regular great food spotless clean lovely décor very helpful staff The new management have certainly turned the place around best its ever been I have used this pub for 45 years years a big thumbs up

The food is excellent and of the Home Cooked variety.
Great and varied menu.
Wide range of Ales, Beers, Lagers
Table Service with a smile.
Prices on par with Ember inn and similar so much better value given the quality and service provided.
Highly recommend you book in advance as a lot of people already know about this place.

Excellent pub with fantastic beer and service. The Guinness here is very good and ales are also very good. The service from the bar and restaurant staff was impeccable and they are a credit to the service industry. The food was also very good. I went for the ploughmans platter and it was fantastic. Overall I would highly recommend this place for food and drink and a fantastic atmosphere.
Busy pub with a limited but good menu at reasonable prices.
A bit noisy when we first arrived but quietened down later, although one noisy customer remained unfortunately.
But would go back again but maybe choose a quieter time?
Excellent pub brilliant staff awesome choice of well kept Ales lagers and other drinks.
An excellent range of food at very good value with good sized portions too.
A great range of cobs are available too.
Best pub in the area by far you are always made to feel welcome.
It would be worth booking ahead on the restaurant to get a table.
Quiz night Tuesdays too, dogs welcome in the bar area.

Had my husband's 70th there. All meals excellent service could not fault. Chris and Lorna are great publicans. Only negative it does need some new carpet.

Right so been here quite a few times over the years and went back yesterday for My son's birthday and apart from a few tiny niggles (forgetting to put lime in a couple of pints, bringing chips on a meal when not requested for the add on and getting a j20 mixed up, place being damn hot inside, did someone put the heating up lol) I must say food was nice and with a group of twelve with alot of fussy eaters to please. Desserts were really, really tasty, not out the freezer like many others with plenty of poring cream!
Staff that dealt with our table were friendly and patient.
Nearly lost a phone but staff located it and we were happy one of the children got it back.
Question is would we recommend to others and would we go back?
After looking at it all, service, cost etc the answer is yes to both! So a big thank you👍
To be totally honest you have put alot of other local places to shame so please keep the standard up and see you again soon.
Super place, really good staff and meals. Busy but with prompt service. No misbehaving kids.
Absolutely amazing meal tonight. Service was great and we were made to feel so welcome. Portion sizes and prices are fabulous. Would highly recommend this pub for an all round experience. We will definitely be back as the menu is amazing. Thank you Laurna and the team for a super night x
