This was my first visit to the Springhill, and boy was I in for a treat! I ordered the rump steak medium rare. What arrived was looked like half a cow! The portion size of the steak was huge, it was cooked perfectly and there was virtually no fat! The chips were great and the bacon and stilton steak topper was delicious. The peppercorn sauce was a touch bland but still complemented the meat nicely.
We had two deserts each, both having the profiterole tower. It arrives beautifully presented with fresh cream and tiny bits of strawberry - I've never had profiteroles with strawberries before and it was amazing! The strawberries were tiny triangles so they didn't over power the profiteroles and cream. I also had a honeycomb sundae. At first I was given the wrong sundae but it was quickly swapped for what I ordered.
When it arrived I was disappointed to see there was virtually no honeycomb, until I dug in and found it was layered copiously within the ice-cream!
Apart from getting trapped in the men's cubicle (door stuck to frame and there are no handles on the inside to pull the door open) and getting the wrong desert, it was the nicest pub experience I've had in years.
The quality of the food is second to none, the staff can't do enough for you, the atmosphere and surroundings are great (apart from some chairs that are too small and uncomfortable) and the value is strong.
I made a point of asking to speak to the manager to compliment him on my excellent experience.
Will be back again soon for sure!
Went with friends on the 18th October and couldn't fault it. Service was excellent.
Lovely restaurant, plenty of choice on the menu, plus a good selection on the 'specials' board too!
Everyone enjoyed their meals, which were nicely presented and the drinks weren't too pricey either.
They also cater for vegans and gluten free diets too! Highly recommend a visit.
Haven't been in a while but it's still as good as it always was. We had the 3 course lunch menu and it was amazing value. The food was served promptly and piping hot. The staff were friendly without being intrusive. The food is the best I've had in ages. Honestly well worth the money. Very good range of drinks too. Lovely area to sit out on a nice night. All round a fabulous pub!
Food was delicious came hot and prompt. They have a lunchtime deal on now 2 courses for £13 and believe me size of the portions 2 are enough. Can't recommend it highly enough. New monthly lunch spot I want to eat my way through the menu

So this place has only been on our radar for about 12 months…. It just fell off our list a long time ago.
Now it’s a regular ish feature.
I don’t know how they have such a large menu and still deliver most things fresh… their kitchen must be huge!
Anywho….collectively we have tried a few dishes: burgers, the cod Wellington, the Greek lamb skewer… it’s a kofta though not a skewer, pasta dishes the curries! All are 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The prices are spot on, and by comparison to millers just down the road, you get a bit more bang for your buck here… hence why it’s always busy.
It’s also one of the few places locally that stays open beyond 10pm!
Be warned portions are big, so choose your main carefully, if you’re eyeing up dessert as well!
Visited the Spring Hill with my mom for a rare child free evening. There were a number of really nice looking specials on the board and an impressive dessert menu as well.
I opted for the Cajun chicken pasta. It was a tad spicy for me but it was really enjoyable. It came served with garlic bread and really, the portion was huge. I only managed half and the price for the dish was pretty reasonable as well! My mom ordered the sea bass, which she has and enjoys regularly. We had dessert which for me was a sundae and profiteroles for my mom. The profiteroles looked really nice actually, and we’re presented lovely.
The only downside is the car park. Spaces are a bit tight now but I guess that’s what happens when cars are getting bigger but spaces aren’t! Not a fault of the Spring Hill’s but perhaps something to consider if you have a larger car.
The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
We visited on a Tuesday night and there was no table service, but that might be different on peak days.
Would definitely recommend you try it
Always a brilliant meal ...fast service ...polite staff ....tasty food ....🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Came here for lunch, the staff were very friendly and the service was good. The Guinness tasted off told the bar staff who poured another and said it was the first pint of the day and the 2nd pint was fine. So quickly rectified the situation. The pint of envile ale was superb as usual. The food was ok a slight let down which is why I have given this place 4 stars. The starter wasn't great no flavour to it at all. The cod Wellington was unique and tasted nice enough. Overall I would come back here.
Lovely food and service spot on, was able to accommodate us on Saturday evening without a booking. Fresh food and lovely to be able to sit outside. Would definitely return
Wonderful food for the money. Staff are friendly and helpful. I left my scarf and they posted it back to me as I live quite a distance away. Amazing service. No wonder it's always packed. Recommend booking in advance.
On our way home from Worcestershire to Liverpool and decided to hit a nice pub for a meal. We weren't disappointed the food was good and the service was good. When the food came you got more than enough and was really lovely. I had scampi and chips and my friends had the fish and chips and the steak. We all really enjoyed our visit. Well worth the visit! Well done to all the staff and the chef.
