So after several visits our experience here was as good as the 1st time. We were very luck as we made a last minute booking on a Sunday and we accommodated within 15 minutes. The food is exceptional. I can't stress this enough. If you're after excellent, fresh. home cooked food then The Fieldhouse is your place. I can't recommend it enough. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You're all doing a fabulous job, keep it up.

Very tasty, well prepared, home cooked food, with a decent presentation and excellent taste And that in the lower pub price range. It was a bit of a surprise find really. The car park was almost empty, to the point where we thought, can it be that bad? Came inside and were welcomed by friendly staff. What I would say is, they are hiding it well, but once you order the food, then the world is all in order.

We stumbled across this hidden gem while in the area yesterday. What a lovely atmosphere! The pub itself was decorated with historic and quirky memorabilia and it was an absolute pleasure to be in such comfortable, welcoming surroundings. To top this the staff were overflowing and catered to our every need. A great choice of ales pleased the men folk! We had two dogs in tow and it was lovely that the staff made them welcome, even providing 2 sausages for them on request. The menu was perfect and had many options! The food was outstanding and great value for money as it was homemade! I can recommend the chilli! Pubs like this are worth a great review. Overall I will definitely be visiting again. I would give this hidden gem 10 out of 10 in fact more! Thank you to the staff for making us so welcome during our impromptu visit 😊

The Fieldhouse is my local pub and I feel guilty that I have never posted a review. The current proprietors do a fantastic job! Food comes quickly, in large portions and well cooked. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes. You get service with a smile and they have a large outdoor eating/drinking area. It is doggie friendly and I feel blessed it is staggering distance from my house!

Amazing! Visited here on a Sunday afternoon and fancied something different so I went for burger and chips. I regret nothing it was absolutely delicious! To follow that I had a honeycomb cheesecake which was beyond amazing! This was a while ago however so the menu may have changed since then but overall I was very impressed and would happily go back! 👍

We’ve not been to the fieldhouse to eat for over a year due to a poor previous experience. Having gone today to try it out again, I just say, I was really impressed. We opted for the beef burger (homemade) and halloumi burger. They were so fresh and tasty, nothing was left on the plate. Well done fieldhouse for stepping up the game on the food, we’ll come again. One point to make out is to improve the menu layout, it’s a bit all over the place.

Honestly by far the best roast dinner around. The food is outstanding and incredibly fresh. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly. The only downside is the size. They have a small restaurant section and bar. The bar section can get a little rowdy with inappropriate language and talk (as bars do!) so it is worth keeping that in mind when booking.

2nd visit here after a few years and the pub is still great. The homemade pies are superb and highly recommended. Definitely recommend coming here for food and nice drinks with great atmosphere. The desserts were also excellent. Wonderful pub, great location and scenery, has a large outdoor seating area and this is great for those lovely summer days. Food was great here, we tried the homemade chicken pie and lamb steaks and it was beautiful. Definitely recommend coming here especially for the beer garden, great food and great atmosphere.

The Fieldhouse is a fantastic pub with a really traditional charm & welcoming, friendly staff. The menu provides for all tastes (including vegetarian) with both classic & contemporary dishes available. The home made pies are a particularly favourite of mine, although everything I have ordered has always been absolutely delicious. If you’re looking to break the monotony of the pub chains & have great value for money, The Fieldhouse is definitely worth a visit.
