Reviews of Moreton Arms

The pub was relatively quiet and appeared clean and well presented. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. We all commented on how much we enjoyed the food and was a noticeable improvement on when we last visited. We had been told that the Moreton Arms is now managed by a new publican and this showed in the overall standard and cleanliness of the establishment. We would definitely return again and tell our friends and family of the noticeable improvements.

Place was great food was amazing came out so fast to say it was a Friday evening and all very hot and fresh my sister in-law had booked a table and it clean and had a reserved note on it the only bad thing about my experience was the table was by the front door so when people were coming in and out the cold came in with them apart from that little issue thebpub is amazing 😍

Not a big eater. Had small fish and chips. Not tainted by dirty oil and batter not full of grease. Booking was for 2 but friend could not make it so went on my own. Service was great and staff friendly. After meal was invited to join another table by someone I knew. Had a game of Bingo. Who knew! Nice atmosphere , very enjoyable afternoon. Will definitely return and suggest to others. Loved it. Great job Moreton!

We booked a hour before arriving and added a guest to our table as we were leaving for the venue. This was no problem for the staff who were helpful and friendly. Staff were arriving on shift as we were seated and this had no impact on service. I noticed one member of staff collecting glasses as she made her way to the bar area to commence her shift. We ordered on the app using our table number and this was easy and straightforward. The manager checked that we were ok and it was clear that he trusted his staff to do their jobs. There was lots of communication between staff to ensure everything ran smoothly. The food was fresh and hot. Nothing appeared to have come from a microwave and everything was well presented. We were offered condiments which were clearly on view and well presented. Despite there being a lot of people it didn’t feel crowded and we could clearly hear ourselves speaking. The clientele was mixed in age but the atmosphere was relaxed and calm. I think the whole experience was very good value for money and I will definitely return in the future

Went here with 3 other adults on a warm night to celebrate friends birthday. Service was good and the staff attentive. I had the bbq cauliflower wing salad which was delicious and went back on the Friday to have them as a starter and should have been for a quick drink but was so relaxed stayed a little bit longer. Since it’s been taken over there definitely has been an improvement. Clean tables, Hot food, Good service.

Staff were very helpful, call to check on my booking was appreciated. I wasn't sure what time my daughter's religious ceremony would finish and was worried I would lose reservation but Leanne was very understanding and reassured me that the booking would be fine. Very grateful and we had a lovely time celebrating. Thanks 😊

I booked online as the recorded message suggested - I requested an outside table but when we got there was told that we can’t book outside, even though I had a confirmation email to that effect. Service was plentiful, pleasant and attentive, no long wait for service. Food was well cooked, tasty and hot and the prices are very reasonable - all in all a big improvement on the last time we visited with the previous landlord.

We visited this pub on the 2nd May after hearing new owners had taken over, few drinks, amazing food, excellent service and wonderful staff, greeted with smiles all round. Wonderful spacious pub, plenty of choice on the menu, option to order drinks & food from your table. We had such an amazing visit we popped in Monday for tea/dinner. Another wonderful meal, mixed grill was unbelievable, gammon beautifully cooked too. Very happy customers. Looking forward to some nice warm weather so we can take advantage of the huge beer garden. Me and my partner popped in Sunday. the beer was bang on, you can tell it's been well kept inside, cleanliness was spot on. The bar staf were superb And the food was brilliant, one of the best pub burgers iv had for a while, these new managers have really changed the pub around, keep up the good work guys I will be back
