Went for a Sunday evening meal. Hadn't booked but the servers were very accommodating. Lovely drink in the bar first. Bartender was very knowledgeable about the gin range. Asked if there was anything vegan on the menu and the waiter went out of his way to check with the chef on dishes, including checking if the gravy was vegan too. Delicious food, fantastic service, lovely atmosphere.

The Crown has improved greatly recently, particularly thinking of customer service. It is welcoming and relaxing, with friendly attentive staff. The food menu is wonderfully varied, although it would be great to have just a couple more 'traditional' offerings. The new manager seems to have an excellent "can do" attitude which one would expect from a Woodbridge hotel such as the Crown. Brilliant. Highly recommended.

From start to finish, everything was excellent. Amy at the restaurant was superb, so friendly, genuine and helpful. All staff were very friendly and provided excellent customer service. Rooms were very clean and pleasant. Restaurant was outstanding… every meal terrific, do NOT miss their speciality eggs benedict! Appreciated the provided face cloths and skin/hair/hand products. Could not recommend more highly - will definitely stay again.

Can't comment on rooms as didn't stay. But dinner Tues eve was excellent. Very good service. Despite not having the seabass (which I'd asked for at the time of booking) the chef offered swordfish which I preferred! The dish was delicious as was the starter of tempura tenderstem broccoli. Hubby had fish & chips with gf batter also very good. Best was the service. Our waitress was lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Same for the staff in the afternoon as we had popped in for refreshments. Would definitely recommend.

Lunched here again today, food was good, service excellent, will come again. The plates were small and the portions were fairly conservative but the quality and taste was good. Beer was excellent. Worth the money paid.

Brilliant location, lovely rooms and absolutely impeccable service. We were impressed from start to finish by the warm, welcoming service, beautifully appointed room and fantastic central location. Parking on site at no cost is a big bonus as well. One of the nicest breakfasts we've had too - a really lovely experience - highly recommended.

10/10 food and service for Christmas Day lunch. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. Drinks were kept full and the roast was the best we’ve had in a long time. Very hard working and professional young team, I hope they are rewarded with a well deserved break when they can take one ! The (I’m assuming?) manager even went out of his way to assemble us a travel cot in the restaurant for our 2 year old to nap in while we enjoyed our lunch.
2 of our party also stayed in the hotel that evening and have confirmed the rooms were just as good and they enjoyed a luxurious bath and a comfy bed after all the festivities plus a delicious breakfast the following morning with “perfect” eggs made fresh to order. We look forward to returning and recommending to friends and family ! Thanks team, Merry Christmas!

Good for groups. As a Vegetarian I think the Crown could offer better, but the room we had for our party was out of the way and ideal for us. Drinks were well made, service was good.

We were looking for a place to book a meal in Woodbridge, we came across The Crown. We stayed for one drink each, a bottle of Peroni and a large wine that cost £14.75. I certainly won’t be eating there or recommending it, if they overcharge for the drinks they’ll most certainly overcharge for the food!

A 5* rating is simply not enough! The Crown went above and beyond for me and my now husband's �� wedding reception yesterday! Helen, Kate and the team were AMAZING!! They handled everything professionally, and with care! The tables/room were decorated beautifully (better than the pictures I had asked for). The food (which was over 30 different dishes for day guests and also an evening buffet) was exceptional! The chef must be a master chef as all food was sublime. We couldn't have chosen a better venue and we are so pleased everyone at The Crown were part of our day. Xx

Had my Birthday meal here last night with friends and had the best time! Food was fantastic, staff were great and really looked after us, even joining in with singing 'happy birthday' couldn't fault the restaurant and the night was rounded off lovely with coffee on the patio. Looking forward to visiting again.

Not a great welcome, more concerned if we travelled by car or not. Given key to room (7), fantastic room, very spacious and decorated to very high standard. However, the lights didn't work and neither did the tv remote. Upon raising this with the unfriendly receptionist we were made to feel like we didn't know how such things were operated - the level of patronisation was actually quite laughable. Anyway, the duty manager sorted the lights and explained that they had tripped, again made to feel as this was our fault. We arranged to collect batteries for tv remote later on. We made dinner reservations albeit in the bar area and returned to room. Decided to cancel dinner as we got abtable in the nearby Indian restaurant. When asked why we cancelled I said that we simply changed our mind and this seemed to cause upset with unfriendly, patronizing receptionist. Returned from dinner and got the tv remote sorted by a very helpful chap who was now on reception. Breakfast was lovely and check out seemless. Overall, a very nice place to stay if it didn't feel like we were inconveniencing people. Sorry to say the staff have let you down (no apologies were ever made and no offer of compensation) but then we got that impression from other shops/establishments in Woodbridge during our visit. I wasn't going to cause a fuss as it was my partner's birthday and didn't want it ruined.
