A great place for a mug of tea and a proper full breakfast or some cheesy chips or a can of cold drink. Good spot to sit and watch the world go by whether indoors or sitting outside.
Nice outdoor seating with good spacing between for distancing. Sturdy benches with shade or in the sun. A lush view across the water, very peaceful. Child friendly. We only stopped for a cuppa as the price of a fry up put us off a bit at a tenner a head but I must admit, the food that was coming out to other tables looked fab!
We would deffo come here again and would have a meal.
Great coffee, good food, brilliant views of quay.
Ideal place, location, food. Friendly staff. Good value.
Good breakfast and excellent raised view over the river.
I was enthralled with The Caravan when I came across it, so naturally had to try it out! It’s a really quirky place, with a good breakfast menu and great for sitting outside with dogs (especially when the weather is good). The staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable. I visited with my friend and we had the full English- fantastic!
I discovered this café serendipitously several weeks ago. My wife and I had detoured to Woodbridge in an attempt to turn her second Covid jab appointment into a trip out. Having parked at the Station car park, we found that the café there, for which we had specifically been heading, had cleverly closed half an hour earlier than it advertised!
Exploring the railway area, as I tend to do, we found the delightful Caravan Café near the station footbridge and, like a couple of Gareth Keenans, went to invetigate.
We ordered our snacks and chose our table on the outside seating deck, which has great views of the railway, the River Deben, the famous Tide Mill and the pictuesque houseboat basin.
The coffees and Dolly Bars were great, as were the staff and their service. We have returned recently and enjoyed our big breakfasts after a walk along the Deben, when, incidentally but importantly, we passed some decent public loos in a pleasant green park.
In all, a brilliant and relaxing place to dine in a wonderful, interesting area which happens also to be the birthplace of Brian Eno (15th May 1948).
Fantastic breakfast, staff are friendly and welcoming and we weren't rushed. Reasonably priced with quality produce.
Great food served by friendly staff. The greatest strength, however, is the delightful view across the River Deben.
Great place to come for breakfast, although not much space, you get an amazing view with a good fry up!
