Visited Notcutts HQ yesterday and the Christmas display was as lovely as ever. Met Mel and Lisa who were so helpful and a delight. Very nice restaurant with good food. Thank you all. Px
Notcutts Woodbridge is a really nice traditional garden centre and nursery. A lot of garden centres these days concentrate on flogging you a load of old tat besides a few plants here and there but Notcutts is different. They have an extensive range of plants and associated products available as well as advice from experienced gardeners. Yes, there are other products available besides gardening stuff, but it hasn't taken over the place here. If you are a gardener, you will enjoy this place. There's a restaurant on site which is really nice, well run, and good value. The only thing I would grumble about is the road layout getting into the place, but that isn't really Notcutts fault. Maybe some clearer signage might help?
Shopping for garden plants, furniture or seasonal things like then Notcutts in Woodbridge is worth the visit, and when you are finally tired of those sit and relax with a drink and food in their purpose built restaurant/café, great selection of sculptures for that special garden setting.
I was speaking to a member of staff yesterday, and was singing Notcutts praises, and talking about the robins nesting in the leafy shrub by the wild bird section which is so lovely, and I said that I would put a review in.
Notcutts has got to be one of the loveliest garden centres around.
It’s extremely welcoming, the staff are always helpful, and there is always plenty of stock. I love the setting it’s in, and I really think that sets it off to an advantage. I got what I needed yesterday, and was very pleased with my purchases.
Also, not forgetting the cafe, the food and the beverages are all really lovely, so a very big Thankyou to all the Notcutts staff. Obviously, I shall be back.
Many thanks
Jenny
I visited Notcutts today and was served by Cory. A very polite young man. A credit to your store!!! Nothing was too much trouble for him, he pushed my trolly to the car and loaded 3 bags of compost, 2 bags of slate, and other items purchased. He's a keeper!
Great little family business. I find several of their plants are always well looked after. Have plenty of your popular plants for gardens, which are grown well. Not necessarily your place for the unusual plants however, as it's your typical average garden centre for variety nowadays ( use to have a range but not in the last year). Unless you are looking for house plants, in which case they have excellent variety and some rarities amongst the mix which can found in the room left of the tills. You'll find rock, stone, garden tools, pots of plenty in size and style, there's lots available at Nottcutts. Parking and access is easy across site, so no worries for anyone disabled etc. Staff are quite friendly and helpful if you need them
Popped in to see if there was a particular buddleia I wanted, sadly they didn't have it but we visited the cafe for breakfast as consolation and was very pleased we did. Between us we had a gardeners breakfast, porridge with sultanas, toast and tea.
The gardener's breakfast was loaded with ample offerings, the potato slices were delicious. The porridge would have easily fed two, toast was nice thick cut, white or granary.
All was hot, service was exemplary.
The toilets were immaculate.
We left well fed and satisfied. I've never had a bad experience eating or visiting here.
Well done Notcutts, happy customers.
Tad more expensive than the bigger chains, but staff are very knowledgeable about the plants etc. The restaurant is amazing.
Lovely place, everyone is so helpful and always have time to give advice . Plants are always very high quality at reasonable prices.
A GOOD CHOICE OF FOOD GOOD SERVICE IS THERE IF NEEDED A BRIGHT a HAPPY PLACE TO RELAX IN
