We visited on an October half term Friday. The day started with rain so it wasn't terribly busy there, but by the time we started walking around, it was warm sunshine. There was plenty of entertainment going on, with costumed characters, a clued trail, pig racing, shows, face painting and a scarecrow competition. The animals are cute and you can pet some of them. There are some decent play areas (including a soft play that we didn't visit), and a woodland walk with different distanced routes marked out. I feel it is aimed at toddler to primary aged children; I took two 8-year-old boys and they both had a lovely day, and we came about 5 years previously and it was great then too.

Me and a friend visited yesterday. A peaceful place to walk in the woods and look at the animals. I especially loved the rabbits and Guinea pigs, the lady there was very friendly. The pig race is always entertaining and provided fun for both adults and children. Would recommend it to anyone with children, a fun place ☺️

A massive selection of well cared for animals with a huge amount of land. It's nice that the animals are able to choose whether or not they get close to the visitors The farm staff are friendly and knowledgeable and obviously love the animals, whilst the gift shop/reception staff were also lovely and very helpful. There seems to be great wheelchair and pushchair access and there are beautiful woodland walks to go on once you've seen all the animals. There's a great obstacle course which is as fun for adults as it is children, as well as a trailer ride and loads of activities for kids to take part in. Will definitely be visiting again next time we're nearby!

Really just wasn't enough hours in the day for one visit. My 2 boys had an amazing time with mummy daddy and nanny and grandad. All the staff we met were extremely nice and happy.

Had a lovely day here with my daughter and my 2 grandsons. The animals are very well cared for, clean, and well protected by the many members of staff I saw, especially in the "animal petting area" the animals In this area I noticed, were swapped out frequently, so important, for the welfare of the animals. All of the staff that I had any interaction with were very pleasant indeed. Toilets nice and clean and plenty of hand washing facilities everywhere, nice and easily accessible for small children to use as well as everyone else. Lots of picnic tables, plenty of places to sit and eat lunch or just take the weight off for a few minutes. My grandsons love the tractor trailer ride and had great time in the wooded area where there is a fabulous climbing/obstacle course that runs right round the edge of the wood. Both my 2 year old, and my 7 year old grandsons loved it. There are also a couple of play areas that we actually didn't get to because there was so much else to do and see, but we will definitely be back , so the play areas will be visited by us another day. Altogether a very nice day indeed. We will definitely be going back.

First time visiting the rare breed centre. Note, you need to book tickets before you arrive because you can't buy them there at the moment. Very helpful ladies explained and helped us get our tickets online and booked us in. The petting area is so good for kids, our little girl loved being able to experience animals for the first time and also being able to touch them. The piglets were her favourite and she loved them running around her feet and then being able to stroke one. The animals all look happy and well cared for in the whole place. We decided to go and get a drink. When we got to the picnic/restaurant area it didn't appear very open and not very inviting. Everything is still very much shut off still from covid and if we hadn't of asked we would have assumed it to be shut. There is a paddling pool area which has been filled in with sand which I think is a shame. We decided to see what the gift shop had to offer only to have the same experience as the restaurant, it didn't look open and not inviting at all. You can buy things there but you have to pick from a window, not really the same thing you want when getting a sovereign from the place. All in all the place is lovely but only takes a few hours to look around. There was a lot of people in the car park but when you went in you couldn't see where all the people had gone. It seemed like too many cars for the amount of people we saw round the place.

A great day out. Lots to do, rides, play areas, even helping clean the pigs. Nice that ticket price covers everything apart from food, so tractor rides for the little people doesn't start with parting with more cash. The playgrounds are superb. All in all, a great day out for the family!

Great place for kids even on a rainy day, animals to pet, tractor to ride, grounds and playground to explore! Nice, big cafe too so kids and adults are catered for 👌

What a beautiful place. Thoroughly enjoyed our day here. It's so clean and friendly. The staff are very approachable and informative. Probably not a place for kids much older than 11 or so but for the younger kids it's superb. Animals seem loved and cared for. Great place.
