We went as a group of 6 for the Sunday roast. The food didn't disappoint at all. The roast portion was generous and included everything you can think of. The drinks were great too (non alcoholic). The starters were really nice too, also very generous with portion size. We didn't have space for dessert but we would definitely return!
The mains were delicious; really enjoyed the steak and sides - especially the mac & cheese!
Dessert was quite average in taste and very pricey.
Food is overall quite expensive; bill came to £70 per person.
Decor is lovely in side and service was good. I would visit here again for a special occasion.
Went for a birthday dinner, the place is aesthetically beautiful, the photographer takes great pictures in the allocated spot. Music and entertainment were very good. The service could have been a bit better as we didn't get assigned a waiter and it was difficult to get the staff's attention. Overall a good experience.
Really enjoyed the roast dinner there a few weeks ago as they were doing a 99p roast dinner offer. The veggie roast was very filling and tasty.

First time visiting this restaurant as was staying at hotel close by for event! Went with my mum as we saw on Google this place is more for Sheesh but also done roast dinner , they had a deal on roasts! 3 courses for £29 amazing deal! Had starters, main, dessert and also cocktails! The service in the place was absolutely exceptional and top class! Our waiter ray ,Was soo lovely and friendly ,he was very helpful , accomodating and had fantastic Customer service skills! Recommendations given and also checked we was happy every step of the way nothing was too much Hassel! Was absolutely blown away by the food the portions and the cocktails was so delicious as was the food absolutely amazing!! Can not fault this place at all! Very clean tidy,lovely atmosphere and would deffo recommend to friends and family!! Ray our waiter is a credit to this restaurant! Will deffo be back and revisit! Go check this out when your in Chigwell it's not cheap cheap but it's worth every penny! Me and my mum walked away full , happy and pleasantly surprised! Thank you Ray your an absolute ball of glazing sunshine!
Went for a roast, everything was 10/10.. the service was great, bit slow but was expected as it was busy! The starters and roast was really good, lots of flavour!! Had a lychee daiquiri which was amazing. Would definitely come back.
Beautiful decor and top notch service. Food is tasty and portion sizes are filling.
Good music, lovely food and staff. Clean in all areas and great entertainment! The cocktail was nice and sweet but not strong. Also have a club upstairs as a nice touch after dinner.

It's a bit too bad to hear that Melin restaurant might shut down or be bought out. I hope that the new owners will keep the same amazing atmosphere and delicious food that makes it such a great place.
Had a good experience at Melin! Ambiance is great with a good selection of mains! Can improve quality of some of the dishes!
