We went to the pub for an early Saturday dinner. It was a really great experience.
Everything we ate was so flavourful and a pleasure to eat. And the service was very attentive too, despite us being sat in the snug so not in constant view of the staff. Very impressed! It is not cheap but it is good value for money because the quality and experience is excellent!
We are only half way through our 2 night stay yet I felt compelled to write a review already.
We found Killingworth Castle as we had previously stayed at their sister Inn (The Ebrington Arms), and booked a few nights here.
Super impressed by this place! The rooms are tastefully decorated, the bed is super comfy, and the staff are GREAT!
The food ... we've eaten both dinner and breakfast so far and both were excellent (well, more than excellent). The pub area was really buzzing on Friday night with a mix of friendly locals and people staying.
All in all, 10/10 ... we will be back! I highly recommend you stay here.
Had our second evening meal here since lock down. The food and service were excellent with imaginative choices especially vegi options. And don’t forget the excellent beer and good wine choice. Also felt very safe with good social distancing and a very high standard of cleanliness.
My wife and I both enjoyed every part of our 3 course meal last night. It both looked and tasted exceptional and we could not fault a single part of the evening. The Killingworth Castle is setting for a quiet meal in the restaurant or drink in the bar.
