First time diners at Ounce after my partner saw their account on Instagram so we chose here for our rare, child free date night. There’s no parking apart from street parking, which wasn’t available when we visited as it was a Saturday evening and it was all occupied. However we were able to park a couple of streets away for free, which was handy.
The staff were all really friendly and polite. Our order was taken efficiently and the food arrived quickly. Our starter of scallops was gorgeous. I’m a fan anyway but they were cooked beautifully. We also ordered a chateau briand to share and that was served exactly as we ordered it. The jus that came alongside it was so rich! We ordered a garlic butter alongside it but actually, it really didn’t need it. The steak was beautiful and felt like it was worth every penny.
We didn’t stay for dessert as we were so full but it was an absolutely wonderful meal out and we’d love to come back again on a different night.
We have dined here this evening and can’t fault a single thing. Food was amazing, I’ve never been a great fan of steak but after this evening I can’t wait to return as it was delicious. The staff are super friendly and the ambience was perfect for my husband, myself and my parents. We booked a table for 5pm as my parents like to eat early and even at that early time there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. It was very busy when we left at 7pm but with a really lovely buzz about the place. Definitely will be returning very soon.
Popped in on the off chance that we could get a table for two (Tuesday at approx 13:30) The place was heaving, but staff were very accommodating and found us a table. Highly recommended.
Ounce is a cute spot, I can't lie. The service is fab and the food is great- genuinely. BUT...there is something to be said for space and basic amenities that this place lacks.
Ultimately, I saw multiple families struggle due to no baby changing facilities in the toilets. I also saw people frustrated with prams and the lack of space between tables of other customers- it was awkward.
On another note, I watched a couple sat eating their meal in front of the front door and bordering the thoroughfare for customers. They looked miserable.
This could be a real hotspot if they sacrificed a table for a few more feet worth of space. It only lost a star for this as the food was brilliant. For a childless couple, it's top notch. 👌
Food and service was great. Very busy on Tuesday night. We sat outside and it was perfect.
4 steaks please...
We ranged from 8oz to 16oz steaks. I only managed an 8oz, which was just right. But others couldn't make it through, so we were able to take the rest home for snacks the next day. The food was great, but parking was 10mins walk away but took 25mins on way back as stomach was so full lol.
We went on a Tuesday night when it was pound per ounce for the steak. Both me and my husband had the 8oz and had it cooked medium ,it melted in your mouth. The service was excellent, but it gets very busy . The only thing I didn't like was that the music was too loud and you couldn't have a conversation with the other half. I also went of an afternoon, and it's much better.
First time at Ounce Worcester. The fillet steak was to die for! And my pepper corn sauce was delicious - lovely and peppery. Lovely restaurant and Georgie our waitress was very friendly and attentitive. Will certainly be back soon. Thanks Ounce!
Absolutely amazing food! Monday-Wednesday is only £1 per ounce which is a fantastic deal. The sharing starter platter was the perfect amount for 2 people. The main which me and my partner picked (butchers cut steak) came with fries and a side salad, we added the extras of spinach and cauliflower cheese which accompanied the steak perfectly! The staff were really polite and courteous. Parking outside the building was only for 45 minutes but there is also private off road parking around the back of the restaurant which you can stay at for 2 hours. I Would definitely recommend trying out the food if your a steak lover or if your in and around Worcester.

My partner and I visited Ounce to celebrate my birthday in August. As it was a Wednesday, the restaurant had a fantastic mid-week offer of £1 per 1oz of sirloin steak, cut to the size you request. Both my partner and I decided to have a 24oz steak each and we weren’t disappointed! The steak was cooked to perfection and really tender and juicy. Both were served with chips and salad.
The cocktail menu has a great selection of drinks to suit all tastes, and they even made a non-alcoholic strawberry mojito for partner as he doesn’t drink alcohol.
The atmosphere within the restaurant was lovely, really chilled out vibes and beautiful decor! The staff were lovely, and very knowledgeable about both the food and drinks menu. Even took the time to answer any of our questions about the origins of the meat.
Only downside is that the restaurant doesn’t have a private car park, but there is plenty of parking available on the roadside and surrounding areas.
Overall, we had a great time and can’t wait to visit again!
