The pub has been amazing since the new owners have taken over. The meal was top standard

Amazing food, great service by lauren the lovely bar maid. Very clean pub. All staff very welcoming and helpful. Will definetly be returning.

Booked for a family get together of 20 people. Staff were lovely and accommodating before the day and throughout the meal. Everything ran very smoothly and we all had a great time (mix of adults and kids - aged 3-8).
We'll definitely come again.

Went back today and can confirm the new management team have made a real difference to the place.
So much more welcoming and food was great.
Can recommend the house salad with buffalo cauliflower wings, classic burger and chocolate fudge cake.
We had soft drinks.
Will definitely be going back again soon!

Arrived 7:45pm on a Wednesday.
Took a while to be served, only to find the Kitchen was closed - not the first time we have been and found this!
They agreed to provide dessert but our first 2 choices were not available.
Ended up with a Rocky Road Sunday where they had to substitute brownie for blood orange brownie. Also sticky toffee pudding which was very stodgy/pasty.
Will not bother trying to go for food again. Such a shame as used to enjoy going here regularly.

This was our first time going to the Oak Apple for food since the new owners took over and we were really impressed. The salad with BBQ cauliflower wings, was the best version of that dish I have ever had! My daughter also really enjoyed her classic burger and chips. The service was also great - the staff were really friendly and incredibly helpful! Great service and great food!

It’s been a while since I’d been in the oak Apple but I have to say the food was good value for money and the service we got from Sim was very good, greeted us with a smile and had the banter to go with it. Will definitely be going there more.

nice staff new management have turned this place around, busiest i have seen this pub in ages food has improved so much and it’s a pleasure to see what was a neglected pub turned into a family friendly bar

Came to the oak apple to Enjoy some good food with friends and was not disappointed, great service by Lauren and sim behind the bar and amazing presentation/taste on food. Definitely recommend :)

Staff were friendly and the service was very good. This was a very conveniently located pub for a lunch with students who wanted good value pub food. Would go back. The chips were perfect.
