I went to the new chequers on Monday after my mother's funeral.the landlord Lee looked after us very well the food was lovely.Lee is a very good landlord the New chequers is a very well run pub highly recommended thank you Lee

We had our daughter’s funeral reception there. The staff are absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. There was a wide range of foods available including vegetarian and vegan. The price was also very reasonable.
Overall, I would fully recommend this venue to anyone.

Great pub, with a proper traditional feel. Plenty of choice on the pumps, and always seems friendly.
Update: Have now been for the Sunday lunch, which was extremely good. Photo probably doesn't give it full justice, as a lot of the food isn't visable, and also sides of cauliflower cheese and dauphonoise potato. All for £11.95.

Had a Sunday lunch here and was not disappointed. Only £11.95! Friendly staff, quick service. Will definitely be going back...maybe have dessert this time! Picture doesn't do it justice as there is plenty under the meat and also not pictured is the side of cauliflower cheese and dauphinoise potatoes

These lovely people did wonderful spread for my aunties wake..i highly recommend them.
