Great visit here today, the carvery was delicious, the staff were lovely and accommodating, the place was clean and inviting. Great value for money and the lockkeeper is situated perfectly on the side of the Chesterfield canal. We will return and would highly recommend! Thanks to all the staff, a real credit to the pub!

Had a good night stay here with my family. Full English breakfast was great. Competitively priced too. Staff were very friendly and helpful all the way through. Family room was clean, although the pillow in the extra bed provided didn't look like it was clean as we saw plenty hair from a previous guest on the pillow case as well as the sheets on the bed. Check-in process could be quicker as I'm not sure there is seamless integration between the credit card used for the online booking system and the desk system at the hotel. We had to wait at least ten minutes before the family in front of us successfully checked in. All in all, had a good experience and will look to go back if needed in the future. With very similar style to a fast food beefeater type restaurant, you seat yourself, take your table number to the bar, order and pay there.. There's a pool table Sky TV Dart board A children's play area outside. There's also outside seating that's right next to the canal. Food turned up in rocket speed time which was quite impressive for a Saturday. There's also a carvery every day !!! The drinks were very cheap. They also do accommodation here. Overall quite impressed for a fast food ( literally) restaurant!!

Brought the family along for Sunday dinner and the Lockkeeper didn’t disappoint! Situated next to the canal it has a lovely beer garden perfect for a warm sunny day. The pub itself is lovely, clean and had a great atmosphere - families, children and people of all ages chatting away. Staff are excellent, really attentive, friendly and always happy to help, I noticed a young man walking around, I think he was the manager) chatting away to people which I thought was really nice - you don’t see that in many pubs! The food was delicious, we all had carveries. Really good value for money, the roast potatoes were to die for and the meat was lovely and tender. Will definitely be visiting again!!

This pub is nice and is very clean. Very friendly and warm staff catering to our needs.but the only issue we had was a friend who paid for the carvery but didn’t they didn’t cook enough meat to have the carvery so we had to get a refund (Staff we’re apologetic towards us). Very family friendly and kids can play in the park while your still seating and there is a play area inside as well. Great value for money will give this place another visit when I’m in the area.

arrived 1:30pm on thursday, the place was quiet. staff were friendly. the carvery serves in three sizes. if you like vegetable, there are plenty to pile up your plates. the lunch special menu is also worth to consider with added £2.50 you get starter or dessert. the meals we ordered were delicious. the cakes are in large portions, if you like cakes, consider have a small main meal and leave you stomach to hudge cakes.
