Romans Rest absolutley OUTSTANDING!! .We booked in a party of 20 for my daughter's 30th on Friday May 26th, and the customer service right from the point of booking was First Class!! Supervisor/Management couldn't have been more helpful, and Paul our waiter delivered our delicious meals all together and piping hot, and took such good care of us all, even though the pub was so very busy. Thankyou so much for such a memorable special evening, and can't wait to come back.

We recently visited the Romans Rest pub and had a wonderful time at the Wacky Warehouse kids' play area. Lily, one of the staff members, made our visit extra special with her incredible customer service. She interacted with the children, engaged in friendly conversations with us, and even assisted with our orders when needed. The play area was clean, and we highly recommend Romans Rest for a great time with the kids. It's also a bonus that you can enjoy a few beers while watching your kids have a blast. First visit. Fed up of service and food at other pubs in area. We had the 2 lunchtime deals for 12.95. we expected small portions but no, they were the same size as the normal price of 9.99. Couldn't believe it. We had hunters chicken which was served in sizzling platter along with fried onions, chips and garden peas. It was hot and tasted very good. Service was good and efficient. Going next week 👏
It's not very often you go for food and ask for a medium rare steak and it come as you asked for food was delicious service was fantastic overall top class experience
Took my sister to have a lunchtime meal and a shandy. I had steak pie and mash and peas and gravy. Sister has scampi chips and peas. My pie was large, full of steak and thick beef gravy. Both meals have our approval. I'd really like to thank the staff at the bar and the lady who brought over our food and made our shandy drinks, chatty , pleasant, genuine. A really positive, enjoyable experience. Well done Romans Rest.
Kitchen staff were absolutely brilliant serving is even though we were a little after closing. It was very much appreciated. Bar staff were also fab. Thank you
Great food, lovely staff. Could do with more staff, the 2 working when we went were run of thier feet trying to get food out and keep on top of orders at the bar, they did a fantastic job.
Visited for tea on a busy Saturday where they were showing football. Meals were served quick but desserts took 30 mins, bar service was slow and it was very noisy with football fans.
Wouldn't visit when the football was on again.

Second we walked in, Lynne and Maddie were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, both very happy in their jobs and very polite. Customer service here is second to none and the food was outstanding. It’s been a long time since we left a pub feeling so happy with everything and we will definitely be returning. The chef is a credit to the company as the food was beyond beautiful, presented with care & cooked to perfection.🙌 Huge portions and amazing value for money.
Lynne and Maddie are an asset to the business and I hope they are recognised for all their hard work. It was a pleasure to have lunch here today.
Had a good meal today. Atmosphere much better than 6mths ago. Had good night. Hopefully this will remain constant.
