Great atmosohere, great food and very good prices, always the pub to go for us if ee fancy a pub lunch/Dinner, great for watching football too.
We visited on a quiet Saturday afternoon, I had the Dip & Flip Burger, it was really good and came with fries (I'd have preferred real chips). The conservatory seating was lovely. Our only complaint was that the beer glasses were really scummy and manky so we drank out the bottles. They've also got a few huge meal challenges which looked like fun. The staff were really friendly and cheerful.
First time here but first impression was excellent. Warm and inviting interior and friendly staff. Food was prepared quickly and well. Having visited other Flaming Grills I can compare and this one has the brand covered, hands down. They even had my non-alcoholic beverage which I wasn't expecting - an excellent adventure away from the norm and a very happy one too.
Great service and great people who work there. Went with family and the staff were so friendly and warm. They alerted us that certain items weren't available straight away rather than risk us choosing it. The food had a quick turn around from order to table for how busy it was, around 25-30 minutes. Food was hot and tasty. Definitely recommend.
As working in this industry and working for a decent pub/restaurant myself I know what to expect. The cock hotel was lovely. Very friendly when we walked In, chatty, smiley etc. It's very chilled find your own table and order at the bar pub, table service would have been nice (That's why I scored a 4). I had chicken sizzling fajitas and my other half had a steak they were both lovely and beautifully presented. We were checked on to make sure everything was ok which is always a nice touch. A very pleasant reasonably priced pub in a lovely area.
Just had the most beautiful christmas dinner. Thank you a lot the staff waiters and the chef. Such a lovely meal we could not have asked for more.
Thanks again hope you do the same next Christmas. HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR
Visit The Cock Hotel in Worsley quite often and can say the staff there are amazing, 1 of them who always stands out to me is Anthony, He goes above and beyond for all customers and nothing is ever too much for him, definitely needs recognizing for his hard work.
Food is alright for the price, can sometimes be a wait of around 30 minutes to an hour but usually it's not too bad, only issues I ever have is the chefs seem to mess up the food sometimes with special requests or steaks but your server will usually get it resolved 1st time.
The pub is old decor and could be great with a redorate to bring it right up to date but the food was great. me and a friend went in for steak night. £8.50 for a Rib Eye sizzler with chips and peas and even a sauce...the Hickory is nice. Great value
The Cock Hotel manages to achieve something that's quite rare in a restaurant, it manages to please everybody - to a certain degree.
Located on Worsley Road, not far from Junction 13 of the M62, the Cock Hotel is a well appointed and friendly "local" that manages to provide the sort of quality and price without selling out to a larger chain.
The menu is generous and good value, while most tastes are catered for. Best of all, families are welcome and we even got into a good bit of banter with our server.
Mid-week offers the best bargains, and while it can get busy inside, it's never crowded and nobody is rushed.
The mix of people is interestingly varied, and all appear welcome. As such I'd recommend it for any age group, including our fussy kids!
New kitchen chef. Food was lovely. Nothing bad to say about our meal or the pub. Atmosphere was relaxed with a friendly feeling......enjoyable experience.
