I've been coming to The Egremont since I was 18, I'm now 49 and I love it now as I did back then. I've seen all the changes take place, and I can honestly say, how it is now, is the best it's ever been. I'm yet to try the Sunday roast but I love the pub, I was brought up in the surrounding area and I still only live a stones throw away . And to have this pub still as my local is special to me. Love the staff and love everything about it. Keep up the good work guys!!���
Saturday 07/10/17 visited the Egremont for a meal music was supllied by Big Yellow Taxi fab group we booked a table great position at back of pub.. ordered the steaks Rib eye and Fillet 2 nice bottles of wine and wow what an evening service was fantastic food out of this world nice big portions steaks cooked to perfection well done chef my wife and I are certainly going again its one of the best places around well done Greg and his team xxx
We have eaten at the Egremont many times but this was our first Sunday roast experience. It definitely didn’t disappoint. The presentation was excellent and every aspect of the food was superb. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. The beef was tender and melted in the mouth. The gravy was absolutely delicious too. I would highly recommend having your Sunday roast here.
Went for a Sunday roast and so glad we booked as each table was occupied or had been reserved. I had the roast beef and it was absolutely perfect, the meat cooked as it should, great variety of vegetables. The sticky toffee pudding after was a real treat. I would definitely recommend!
What a lovely little find this was. A beautiful pub full of character and only minutes from the seafront. The food was fabulous with a nice variety and great portion sizes. A very welcoming and dog friendly pub too, they even cooked up a burger for our furry friend to have. Lastly the staff were superb. They were extremely friendly and overly helpful with everything, nothing seemed to much trouble. It really makes you wonder why everyone can't be like this
We came for the Sunday roast which didn’t disappoint, it was good quality beef cooked perfectly for my taste. The accompanying Yorkshire and assorted vegetables were so tasty especially the roasted carrots. We had the extra cauliflower cheese which was delicious.
We all had deserts of chocolate brownies, sticky toffee pudding and Eton mess with custard and ice cream.
I will definitely be back and now want to try the fish and chips!
Went here to see Simply Weller band it was an amazing night. Great band, excellent atmosphere great choice of drinks. Staff were amazing run of their feet but always got served without having to wait to long.. Most d will be going here again.
Had my amazing 50th birthday party here. David the chef was so accommodating and the food was delicious. Bar staff were fab too. Thanks so much!
Have been regular customers for a while now. Service is brilliant as usual and always made really welcome. Food was delicious and gluten free food

We've visited The Egremont several times over the past few years. It's always a fun atmosphere! This past visit (June 2023) we participated in the pub quiz & had a blast! Everyone was so welcoming & inclusive to us newbies-it was so fun. We had burgers which were delicious. Hubs & I went back for drinks at the weekend & enjoyed the live music. Thanks for a lovely time!
Went for a roast dinner with friends. Roast lamb was cooked very well, the meat came off the bone easily. Sides like cauliflower cheese and pigs in blanket were perfectly cooked too. Enjoyed live music afterwards

Music on Friday nights is great, catering for a slightly older age group (25's plus).
