After taking my 84 year old dad for lunch at the South Pavilion on Worthing Pier we stoped off at The Dome Vintage Team Room for refreshment and cake. It was during the lovely early May period of hot weather. As the pictures show the ‘vintage’ feel is carried through to everything and the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. First off, they provide table service which is wonderful to have when much service along the front is ‘self-service at the bar’. Also, a chilly wind started and there was no fuss mocing us from outside to a warm table inside – which to be honest is much more interesting and you can still see out the window! Two lattees, a normal coffee with milk and a breakfast tea were orderd along with a slice of date fudge cake and earl grey tea cake. All very good and just what the doctor ordered and at £15 all in not a bad price. The quirkiness all was a good focus of onversation, such as the latte being served ina half pint beer mug brought memories of pubs back for my dad and his national service days. Also, the bone handled antique forks reminded my mum of the dinner service they got as a wedding present over 50 years ago. If you are inclined for an alcoholic beverage, you can go into The Dome Cinema where you will find the ‘Projectionist’s bar’ which is open to non-cinema goers during cinema hours and is a great chance to see this wonderful building. It’s a rather wonderful Edwardian cinema that was first opened in April 1911 that has now been fully restored – a full time job to keep it this way we think! We’re definitely going to return to go and see a film there. On their web site it says that in 1987, The Dome was featured in David Leland's critical hit "Wish You Were Here", starring Emily Lloyd and Tom Bell with much of the film set in the Dome, using Screen 1, the box office, the projection room and the Dome itself. Very clean, amazing coffee, on the sea front, amazing style of cafe, the chairs could be a bit more comfortable, kind staff, quick service. The food looks great but I didn't try it as just went for coffee. I will be coming here again it has a great atmosphere. Very cosy.

A really nice place to visit as I've only been here twice. A great view of the the sea and literally outside the Dome Cinema.

Tea tastes so much better in china cups. Lovely cuppa, excellent teacakes and crumpets. Very friendly service. Recommended!

Lovely place. I had the High Tea with a sandwich. The tea, Tuna melt sandwich and scone was excellent. Polite and quick staff.

Beautiful place, terrace upstairs, very friendly and welcoming staff, amazing customer service, the waiter very pleasant and smiling all the time. It brighten my day. After 2 very bad experiences in 2 different places that day, he washed all the sins of the other 2 waiters with his positive attitude and I enjoyed every second spent there. The place doesn't look very welcoming from the outside, but the people inside make the place happy and pleasant. If you ever pass by, have a coffee at this place.

The tea, the tea the beautiful tea at this tea room is the best for miles! Loose leaf and refreshing it's perfect with the warm fruit scone, cream & strawberry jam that is just right after walking on the promenade & pier. The staff are fantastic and look after you in a friendly, caring way. Highly recommended, if you don't fancy tea, a light lunch with a glass of wine goes down nicely too. 😉

Went here for brunch at the weekend and loved it. The food we had was delicious, especially the almond milk latte served in a half pint beer glass! The staff are friendly and service was great. Specifically liked the vintage style of the cafe, and the prices are average. Would definitely go back.

Just stopped for a lovely coffee and scrambled egg on toast and this tea room is participating in the government 50% scheme so all soft drinks and food 1/2 price Monday to Wednesday. Food lovely, drink lovely and service awesome. Defo worth a visit when you come to Worthing. Oh and they do gluten free bread!!!
