The Bull Hotel Restaurant

On 26th October, my son and his wife got married at your venue. It was a glorious day and I felt that the staff went out of their way to make sure everything went well and without any hitches. The venue is beautiful, the food excellent - sticky toffee pudding to die for - the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and even the weather was kind to us. I can highly recommend it as a wedding venue. And a special thank you to Mary for finding paracetamol for the bride.

Absolutely brilliant hotel! Stayed here to attend my friend’s wedding on 30th September 2023. The room was very quaint and has everything you need. The mattress was firm (just a note for anyone wanting softer mattresses) but we slept well as it was very quiet and the room was nice and warm. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and bar and the food was outstanding! Definitely recommend staying here for a few nights

Our wedding day. Where do I begin. From start to end, the service we received from all staff but especially Emma, Leigh Anne and Catherine was outstanding. They were on the ball, thoughtful, kind, organised, made the whole thing effortless and so personalised to us. We always wanted a down to earth, relaxed and special wedding and that is exactly what we got. Everything was perfect from staying the night before, wedding morning to little touches like leaving pizza in our room on our wedding night! The smokehouse feast did not disappoint - the food was so delicious! We loved the glasshouse and being able to have the roof open for our meal! Our guests are still saying how unique and special it was. Honestly we couldn’t be happier with our choice of venue - we could not recommend enough. It has given us memories we will cherish for the rest of life. Thank you so so much for helping us create our special day ❤️

We got married in the buttery at the bull. We didn't stay in the rooms but had a wonderful wedding day with just the 4 of us. The service and food was excellent as I've come to expect from the Bull. As we had no photographer the staff took photos for us too. We were able to sit out on the decking prior to the wedding breakfast which was nice too. I would recommend it as a wedding venue and an excellent pub too

Legitimately an 11/10... Service was absolutely incredible from every member of staff that came over to our table. We ordered every type of Sunday lunch on the menu except for the veggie option (which I have no doubt would also be great) and everything tasted absolutely flipping incredible, you could honestly taste the passion and integrity of the kitchen staff, haven't had such a good meal in years and years, would be pleased to call any of the food I tried my upcoming wedding menu, can't wait for a sample day to try the 2 different menu options if we choose this officially for our venue. We had an absolutely amazing time at the bull! The food was next level with dishes like duck confit, to smoked short rib with an amazing choice of wines! The history just added to our amazing stay in our suite! The room had a massive bed and quirky details you should see in a 700+ year building We can wait to come back! I really enjoyed staying here, I stayed in room five which is the suite. It's a big room with a recently updated bathroom. I ate my evening dinner here which was very tasty. In the morning I had a lovely freshly cooked breakfast. The staff here were really friendly. The free WiFi was very fast and I had no issues streaming video. The hotel also has free parking on-site. Well done the bull hotel

Attended a wedding here on 1st June, I must say the venue was great, food was superb with a great service all round from friendly bar staff. Didn’t hear any complaints from anyone on the day as all enjoyed, the breakfast served up the next day was great too! Plenty of parking available, it’ll be worth another visit if I’m in the area too, thank you!
