Had dinner in the moat on Friday, the food and service were great. This was followed by my daughter's wedding the next day. From start to finish I couldn't fault anything. We had a wonderful weekend

We had our wedding at The Moat on Saturday 9th September. We cannot fault the service, food, atmosphere & attentive staff. The venue was ideal for everything we wanted and we're complimented by many guests.

Amazing food, service and a really lovely atmosphere. We were lucky with the weather and got to enjoy seating outside - music was a fab touch! Shame the staff here have moved on from the pub that was local to me before, but I’m really glad I found the moat as I missed the food!!

Popped in yesterday on the off chance of getting a table. Never been there before but have always wanted to give it a try. Luckily we managed to get a table and have to say that I'm glad we did. Food was amazing. Service was great and the place just had a nice buzz about it. We will be definitely returning but this time we will book in advance.

An excellent experience from start almost to finish. Our waiter was very friendly helpful and accommodating throughout making our experience pleasant across a wide age range at the table.
Drinks, starters arrived efficiently and food delicious. Problem with one dish was resolved quickly. The gap between the main course and dessert was too long as the place filled up and overstretched the staff but that is always an issue with a popular and well visited place.
I took a peak outside and the garden area and high tea and meal offerings outside were also great.
I would definitely recommend and would return again for sure.

Very nice gastro pub near brands hatch. The venue had perfected the basics such as lighting, décoré, table spaces etc. It was very comfortable.
The staff were great and added to the relaxing atmosphere.
The menu was straight forward and offered a decent selection of people pleasers.
All of the food arrived in good time, and everyone’s meals were tasty.
All in all, I’ll make this a ‘go to’ spot when I visit the race track next.

So after not visiting this pub for some time, today when we did we where pleasantly surprised to find it’s completely different than it used to be….. we are talking years here!
Firstly we where created by a super friendly barman, who advised us that it we wanted to eat in the garden then that was fine just had to order at the bar…. No problem for us.
We ordered two drinks and grabbed a menu and proceeded to go find a table in the garden.
The garden was amazing, lots of seats nice igloo style seating and plenty of grass! We ordered mussels and caesar salad, when they came out they where amazing…. Absolutely delicious 🤤
We will definitely be returning and I urge anyone reading this review to go and try for yourself

Stopped by for lunch on a whim and what a fantastic place. The restaurant itself is lovely, spacious and warm. The staff are so very friendly and polite, nothing was an issue for them at all incredibly accommodating. I had the Moat burger with chips and I can safely say it was the best I’ve ever had. My partner had the Brie bacon ciabatta which she thoroughly enjoyed too. Very reasonably priced as well. Couldn’t recommend more.

I’ve been coming here over the years whenever I’ve visited England. They added a whole lot more seating in the back garden including a couple of gazebos that you can book. Food was delicious. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They even have blankets that you can borrow when it gets chilly.
