Review The River Kitchen Cafe & Restaurant - Wroxham

Michelle Harrison
Lovely little place tucked away in the Riverside. Beautifully decorated inside with a cosy feel. I opted for the Winter Vegetable soup and it didn't disappoint. My daughter had the fish finger sandwich which she enjoyed too. There isn't a children's menu so portion size was quite large. We would definitely come back again!

Lovely little cafe offering lots of healthy alternatives to the usual things on offer by a cafe. Nice views next to the river. Although tucked away behind the Hotel, it was really busy & vibrant. We had the salmon & scrambled eggs with red pepper ketchup. Delicious and exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend & would definitely re-visit this place if in the area again.

Biked out to The River Kitchen. Disappointed that we weren't able to take our bikes around the back and sit in the garden by the river. However, we sat inside and were very, very impressed with the food. Really good menu, with plenty of choice. I opted for several tapas style dishes, all of which hit the spot. Definitely worth the ride out. Well fuelled for the ride back. Thanks to the staff, who were all very friendly and helpful, and did a super job of ensuring everyone could enjoy The River Kitchen while keeping safe too. Will be going again for sure.

Really tasty, delicious home made food. Plenty of veggie and vegan options and really friendly staff. Wonderful views of the lake too. Great for a spot of brunch or lunch.

Enjoyed a pleasent meal here by the river with a great friend who is vegan... would recommend.

Great view next to the river, friendly staff, loads and loads of chocolate brownies. We didn't have it but the Sunday roast looked great.

Beautifully positioned on the River, with stunning and sunny views (only valid in Great British weather) producing tasty food. They also have friendly staff and there's generally a great atmosphere indoors too. As a local business we regularly eat here for lunch, definitely recommend.

Nice pub on the edge of the Norfolk Broads in the stunning village of Horning. We ate here as a group of 12 and the service was very good. The team here really know what they are doing and the food was good. A couple of the group did say that their portion sizes were a little on the small side (hence 4* review). Don't let this put you off though, we would go back.

We walked round the town and wandered along the river's edge. This was the last place to get to and we thought we'd give it a try. So very pleased we did. Had one of the fish specials and I can honestly say it's probably the nicest meals we've have out in ages. Just lovely. I can highly recommend waking past everywhere else to get here. Friendly staff to boot.

Love this place - best breakfast on the Broads! I always have the scrambled eggs and hot roast salmon which is heavenly! The service is great, very friendly and welcoming to the kids as well. And did I mention the brownies...?! OMG

Food was lovely. Service was a bit slow but maybe there weren't many staff working that day. All very friendly and helpful though. Lemon posset was delicious!

Treated my wife to a Full cream tea on bank holiday Sunday. Very friendly and helpful staff. Sandwiches, cakes, scones and the Tea was spot on. Lovely setting too watching the antics of the new skippers and their hire boats. Also had a decent menu that I've no doubt we will back to try.

Visited today for afternoon tea for a hen party. We were all really impressed, the table was laid out beautifully and everyone enjoyed their food. I had a vegan afternoon tea which was absolutely delicious, I'd definitely recommend it.

First time (and hopefully not last!) ❤️ Amazing food, truffle chips were to die for and the mushroom on toast was absolute heaven. Shame we had no room for dessert but it was a good excuse to take some of the brownies home to eat later 😈

The best bacon brie and red currant sandwich I've eaten in forever. Elderly mum ate houmous, tomato bread with olives and sun dried tomatoes and thought it was heavenly. Glad her first request for a sausage roll was unavailable.

The best breakfast we have had in a long time! My partner ordered Chef's breakfast, I had Eggs Benedict and along with a lovely bit of sunshine sat outside on The Broads it was beautiful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great there was a ramp for wheelchair access in and access to sit outside. Planning our return with friends!

What a lovely find! Breakfast was PHENOMENAL (Chef’s Full English and Eggs Benedict). Really warm and welcoming staff (even for our little dog). The only negative is that we live so far away and can’t go every weekend! Thank you very much

Popped in here yesterday for a quick snack and a cuppa. Friendly and welcoming staff, pleasant surroundings, varied and slightly different menu - not just the usual cafe offerings. Delicious and beautifully presented food, served quickly. Highly recommended. Tx
