Gorgeous tranquil village pub with amazing food. Great service & attentive staff. The rhubarb gin is lush. Highly recommend this place
Lovely pub, lots of room. Good selection of ales, very reasonably priced light bite and lunch menu. I had hummus and flat bread, other half had a lovely sausage baguette. We also ordered some chips - huge and delicious! Well worth a visit

Gorgeous food, last time I ate here was over 30 years ago, will definitely not be waiting that long before we return. There were 20 of us dining, celebrating a bday Table booked 7.00 & starters came out 7.45, a long wait. We hadn't ordered a starter & didn't want to add any more pressure in ordering another starter so order some chips as we were hungry & guessed it would be at least another 40 mins before mains would be served. Mains serviced around 8.30-9.45.We had Seabass, gorgeous. We were eyeing up others chicken pie, which we were told was really lovely; so will go back to try that out. Puddings were very nice. Forgot to take pics of food as too busy talking but they did a happy birthday pud for our friend, nice touch. No music so not much of an atmosphere, not sure if they usually play music, I'm guessing not. We were a large group so we really didn't need any back ground noise. Waitresses did a good service but were rather miserable in my opinion, not very welcoming considering we were spending a small fortune. Drinks as you would expect were expensive £11 for a glass of Malbec, but it was really nice, easy to drink. Chairs were uncomfortable, some sort of lattice effect & my delicate derriere was still sore the following evening. Beer garden looked nice. Lovely building & clean toilets. Despite the wait the chef & kitchen staff are an asset to this business, well done
Absolutely incredible!! the trio Sunday roast was so delicious and filling and definitely worth the price. Definitely recommend!:))
Live just a few miles away and haven't been since lock down. We had the Sunday roast lamb with all the trimmings, all freshly prepared and served by friendly staff. The atmosphere was relaxed with no background music interfering, car parking and access is easy and there is good choice of ales.
We shall definitely be returning and thoroughly recommend.

Big carpark and loads of outdoor seating ,I imagine very busy in the summer.
Although we were the 1st ones there for evening service, it became very busy for a Tuesday evening.
Food was great , traditional pub food.
Thought the starters and deserts were slightly over priced for what they were , but the mains were fair .
Overall a really good evening , would recommend and definitely go again .
Four of us turned up at the Rose and Crown at lunchtime on a bank holiday weekend, no reservation and not entirely hopeful we would be able to eat. However the lady that greeted us (owner, landlady, manager, not sure) was so welcoming and went out of her way to fit us in. We were served a lovely meal and made to feel nothing was any trouble. Really top service and very friendly. Nice atmosphere and great outdoor eating facilities too. I would recommend the Rose and Crown without question.
Amazing food and service. Really good pub food with a little extra care and thought.
Devilled kidneys as a starter was excellent, so was the whitebait. Really good burgers. The kids meals are good too - my 8 year old had chicken goujons but they’re panko coated with skin on fries and a choice of beans or peas.
There’s a decent sized beer garden too.
We will definitely be going back.
Best Sunday lunch out yet! Roast potatoes weren't great but we've never found anywhere so far that does well with them.

Long time since we have eaten here. Very pleased to rediscover this really nice pub. Enjoyed our lunch good service with nice people. Good menu. 👍 Just been back for Sunday lunch. Took two friends. Great food again. The trio of meat dish.....superb. Yorkshire puddings 🍮 to die for. Service even better !
Our family of 7 enjoyed a lovely evening to celebrate my brother,s birthday on October 17th. The service and quality of food was excellent.We particularly enjoyed the shared camembere starter and the ham,chicken and leek pie was delicous. Well done to the dedicated staff on a busy evening.
Great place, never been before last week and now been twice. Very friendly staff, good prices and food looks great tho no tested. Garden has a covered area which keeps the rain off even in a storm. Will now be a regular.
