Lovely shop with lovely gifts just what we were looking for and also went into the cafe which was very nice too.i worked in the shop when I was 16/17 on a training system and it was lovely then it's not has big has when I worked in it but still a lovely shop
Visited the cafe for afternoon tea with my grandparents. As they don't eat much they were able to make two portions into three with a couple of extras. Service was great, the staff are lovely and the scones are beautiful! Definitely recommend it!
We all love this shop and cafe, it's such a beautiful place, it's a treasure trove of beautiful gifts for everyone at any age.
The cafe is a lovely eclectic mix.
Went for breakfast, coffee was really good, oatmilk available. Lots of choice and veggie friendly.
French toast was excellent I was informed, I opted for mushroom Florentine I think, although it was delicious 😋 the portion size was very poor, one egg and about 4 mushrooms 🫣
Shame.
Staff really lovely, chilled out vibes were great.
But ouch £41 for breakfast for 3.
Simple food very well done, cakes are delicious. Staff very helpful.
When I lived in Yarm in the mid-70’s this was just a few doors down and a great place for gifts and all kinds of items you don't know you need until you need them. It's laid out differently now but still has its individuality and charm, with added vintage shop and community hub upstairs. Great place...and they still sell incense sticks almost 50 years on!
Great local shop with a wide variety of things! (The widest variety on the high street). The gifts and Children's selection is excellent. The cafe is very very good - especially the fresh (huge) scones. However they are very expensive for what they are! Bring your appetite and a bank loan!
Went for lunch today and ordered the cheese and onion quiche, 10 out of 10, my husband had a ploughmans, which was enough for 2 people. Such good value for money. Had a little meander in the gift shop, it was a treasure trove.
The scones were delicious, but I had to send back my coffe, it was cold... they made another one no problem.
Went in through the pottery with our dog! He was made welcome and given a table with plenty of space for him. Only had soup (broccoli and stilton) and bread but it was fantastic, really thick, which I like, and served with some beautiful warmed sourdough and butter.
Lovely shop and cafe. Full of interesting items to buy.
A great place for gifts. It's a cross between Aladdin's cave and a tardis! Definitely worth a visit. There is a cafe in the back too which I am going to try next time. Staff are helpful and friendly.
I love this shop and the cafe too. Always so friendly and helpful
